Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.(Ezekiel 38:7-12)

The Coalition which Ezekiel saw in a vision, 2,500 years ago is forming right before our eyes, and a large part of it is already actively working together against Western interests in the Middle East.

Currently Russia and Iran are working together to defend Bashir Assad, from Sunni Arab, western backed and armed militias in the brutal Syrian Civil War. Russian and Persian combat troops are operating just over the Syrian border from Israel. The a;,oat 100 years western power hegemony in the middle east is over now, since Obama deferred to Putin’s demand that the USA “Get out of the way!” in Syria.

The vision of the final assault of Gog upon, “the people gathered out of the nations”, and the “land that is brought forth out of the sword”comes at a time when the re seems to be security and safety in the land of Israel. Israel is seemingly “at rest”, and dwelling safely, without walls,bars or gates.

Evidently, the constant problems Israel has with her near Sunni neighbors, the ‘Palestinians’, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia,Lebanon and Syria,ISIS and Al Queda have been resolved in some decisive way. Many believe that it will by a war, the “Psalm 83” war prophesied by one of the Psalmists.

Israel’s seeming tranquility could also have been achieved by some kind of false peace, for this is also prophesied, a kind of “Covenant with Death”,

Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:(Isaiah 28:14-15)<>/i>

Paul also warned, “When They Say “Peace and Safety” , then sudden destruction comes upon them as upon a woman in travail with a child, and they shall not escape…”(I Thess 5)

Israel has bitter foes among her immediate neighbors, all Sunni, all seeking to re-establish the Caliphate, and hating the very existence of Israel as an affront to their Koran.

And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the Lord God. Thus saith the Lord God; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.(Ezekiel 28:24-25)

The day is coming when Judgement will fall upon Israel’s Arab neighbors, for their “everlasting hatred” and willingness to shed the blood of Jews with impunity,(I note the current “knife” Jihad, instigated by Arab leadership).

But Israel also has an outer ring of bitter foes as well, the Muslim world of North Africa, The Turkic speaking Muslims of the Caucusus, newly released from bondage in the USSR, and radicalized in many ways by Saudi money, and Iranian influence also. The Shiite Islamic Republic of Iran. Pakistan also, and Afghanistan, Somalian and Sudanese Africans.

These are the coalition , led by Gog which shall soon think an” evil thought”to attack and plunder the people and the Land which God has redeemed.

Turkey is a major player as I explain in my other pre viols articles, Meshec and Tubal, and Gomer and the house of togarmeh are all Turkish. Gog, however comes from the “Uttermost North”, Russia.

Perhaps the "time of peace" comes after Psalm 60, 83, and 108 occur and Israel controls the East Bank of the Jordan and Dead Sea. Just in time to bury the dead Russian, Iranian, Turkish, Libyans, North Africans, and Islamic Stan soldiers east of the dead sea...

Misapplication of prophecy.

Can anyone point to a time when the modern state of Israel has ever been at rest, or has ever dwelled safely, or has ever dwelled without walls (military, today’s terminology)?

Many people have spent lifetimes researching the migrations of many of the descendants of those tribes. It’s not a short-term study. But yes, future or contemporary nations of those remnants are also mentioned (Magog, Persia, Cush, Put).

The ancient walls were enormous and made of stone. Also, today’s doors are weak and unbarred (that is, without the stronger bolts of the past).

Also concerning another prophecy, during the time of one Prophet, to the ancient Egyptians and anyone in ancient Israel, there was nothing of essence beyond (to the west of) Cush—only wilderness, people who couldn’t be dealt with, sea (ocean) and islands (land masses rumored to be across the water). I was thinking about the bad guys today and how really hellish it will be without the Holy Spirit restraining them. We are horrified about the things we hear everyday now, but unless God brings about a worldwide revival to delay His judgment I don’t see it getting any better.
