Prayers for my child

My child was born today. She is in the ICU at Iowa City. We made it 34 weeks. So far baby's lungs are the main issue, but she is progressing ok

Congratulations!!!! I’m so happy she hung in to 34 weeks; major kudos to your wife.
Will continue to keep her in my prayers... I will read further but am hoping for a weight?

Update. Dani is progressing well. The have turned down her oxygen to near normal levels and are talking about moving her to a different level of care. A very good thing to have happen in just a day

I have worked in NICU in the past doing ultrasounds on the babys’ hearts. 34 weeks is a fairly common time to be born. I know it is scary to you, but your baby should be fine. it will take a while for her to adjust, but everything should work out fine for you and your baby. The line is 24 weeks. when babys are born that early, they are critical until they get to 30 weeks. Wishing you and your new baby well. Everything should work out OK for you. Hope this helps.

Praise God. Thank You Jesus.
I lost a Son 30 years ago who was born 1 Month premature. he lost the fight after 10 days.
It is a good feeling that Dani has turned the corner for good.

Dani has P.I.E., or air bubbles in the lining of the lungs. Not great, but the doctor said it not unexpected and is treatable. They are going to change her respirator to a jet ventilator. Not really liking this the more I read about it, but everyone here is positive
