Welby, an experienced conflict negotiator, drew the loudest applause on Tuesday when he urged members to compromise and vote for the measure, citing bloody conflicts in the Middle East and Africa as examples of what intractable differences can lead to.

"Go ahead, woman. Eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge."

I know a guy who is a self-described Tory, and listening to his take on the matter was rather astounding. He talked about how the CoE needs to “modernize” and “get with the times” and not be “bigoted and reactionary”.

Of course, he is also an atheist and rarely has anything to say about matters of faith unless it’s something like this.

Rather sad that the many Tories have become like our Country-Club RINOs.

“Welby, an experienced conflict negotiator, drew the loudest applause on Tuesday when he urged members to compromise and vote for the measure, citing bloody conflicts in the Middle East and Africa as examples of what intractable differences can lead to”

Does this mean the almost archbishop is suggesting that “intractability” between the “reformers and traditionalists” will lead to bloodshed in the church”. Is certainly looks like it.

The almost archbishop comes to the church from a business background and has not been a member of the clergy for very long and is still wet behind the ears as a bishop. Seems to me he needs to take some more time with his Bible.

I don’t belong to that sect, so I really do not give a damn, but when they make women Catholic Priests I will be going to underground real Catholic mass and skipping the lesbian mass.
