Dr Williams appeared distressed when he said at the press conference, hosted by the Roman Catholic Church in Eccleston Square, that he had known nothing of the initiative until two weeks ago. He was notified formally only when Cardinal William Levada, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, visited last weekend to fill in some of the detail.

And the pope, in his humble and charitable way, should respond with, “Get over it. We tried it the other way. It didn’t work. Now we have to fix your problem for you.”

Could well damage relations with the Vatican? Oh, that would be terrible. After all, we all know the fierce resistance those Anglicans have put up against the Islamic subversion of Britain and the the zeal with which they have defended the institution of marriage. They are a force to be reckoned with I tell ya. [/s]

He's only too happy to surrender to the Muslims, but he seems to draw the line at Catholics.

Rowan Williams was too busy on his knees praying to Mecca and promoting Sharia Law.

The Anglican Church still has relations with the Roman Catholic Church after the appointment of the “Red” Archbishop of Canterbury?
It is perfectly possible to achieve the position of Archbishop without being at all a Christian. And Rowan Williams has never shown any inclination to perform as a servant to Christ.
I am sure Dr. Williams knows all the formalities and rituals. He just never, well, BELIEVED in any of that stuff.

Lord Carey warned that the Pope’s strategy could damage relations with the Vatican.
What kind of a worry is that? The Anglicans have proved over and over that they don't care what Rome thinks, and have not hesitated for a second to adopt every unchristian idea that has come to their minds. They knew what Rome would think of homosexual marriages, women priests, and women and homosexuals as bishops, and did they care? No, not a bit. They only worry about relations when Rome is actually doing something in the interest of Christians. I can't imagine anyone with any sense at all could muster any concern for these relations whatsoever.

"Doctor" Williams is a Druid "priest" with well known homosexual sympathies. Why would a degenerate poofter like him give a sh*t what the Pope says or does? He has his six figure retirement salted away regardless.
The Pope has obviously struck at the heart of the apostate Anglican rabble, and Oh! how they are squealing at the loss of money in the plate.

George Carey was a disaster as Archbishop. No wonder he’s “appalled”.

Traditional congregants are appalled at their treatment by Archbishop Williams and much of his Anglican clergy - especially those miscreant, triumphalist, and politically correct American Episcopals.

The arrogance of “Lord Carey” is breathtaking. The Pope should have been concerned about the pride and face of that clown the Archdruid? Anglicans, including the so called Archbishop Of Armagh, presided over a policy of genocide against Irish Catholics in the mid 19th century. They deserve nothing, nothing but contempt from the Pope.

Lord Carey warned that the Popes strategy could damage relations with the Vatican. Let's see, Canterbury has:
- Ordained women to the "priesthood," in contradiction to the universal practice of both Catholicism and Orthodoxy
- Already ordains in America, and is about to start ordaining women to the "episcopate," in contradiction (etc.)
- Tolerates an openly homosexual (and violently anti-Catholic) bishop in the USA
- Is rapidly moving toward blessing homosexual "marriages"
The Pope merely sets up a formal structure for Anglicans who reject those heresies to enter the Catholic church while preserving some of their Anglican heritage, and
HE'S the one who's "damaging relations" !?!?!?
