On today’s broadcast of his television show The 700 Club, Robertson stated that “God revealed” to him that he was an “idiot.” This surprising disclosure came during the show’s segment entitled “Bring It On,” during which viewers submit questions to Robertson for advice.
Near the end of the segment, the following question was read to Robertson, “I have watched your show for years, and I have read most of your books. I respect you highly as a man of God, but lately my pastor has been preaching about the Old Testament prophets and how a true prophet is known by the fulfillment of the prophecies that he makes. I hope I don’t offend you, but you’ve made some predictions in the past that never came true. For example, in 1980 you predicted that the USSR would invade the Middle East. In 2004, you predicted that George Bush would win the election by a blowout . . . in 2006 you predicted that many storms, possibly even a tsunami, would hit America’s coasts. None of these came true. . . I’m just asking for your reassurance that you are the man of God I’ve always believed you to be.”
When the camera panned to Robertson, viewers witnessed his face morph from an expression of horror to a state of sadness. Tears began falling down his face. Robertson began sobbing with his head in his hands. It was apparent that the cameraman was being urged to cutaway from Robertson, but he motioned for the cameraman to hold his shot steady. Robertson said that he had something to say. The high tension of the moment was obvious.
“I don’t know how that email made it into this segment, but that’s okay. I know I need to answer this now,” stated Roberston, “I admit that in the past I have made numerous predictions, almost all of which have never come true. I also admit that my claim that I can leg press 2,000 pounds is probably a gross exaggeration of reality and a laughable insult to trained athletes around the world.” Robertson began to sob even more deeply after this statement.
“You see, I just want to represent before other Christians that I am a tool of God’s service,” said Robertson, “Everyday after I wake up and drink one of my delicious Age-Defying Shakes, I pray that God will help me to be his visionary and leader for Christians all over the world. It looks as though I have indeed failed . . . I’m just so sorry . . . so sorry. I must admit that this email seems to be a divine coincidence. It so happens [Robertson begans to sob uncontrollably and eventually regains some composure] . . . it so happens that God revealed to me during my evening prayer time that I am an idiot.”
Robertson continued, “It was hard for me to believe at first, and so I asked God again. God answered me harshly the second time. If I heard him right, I believe God said, ‘Yes, that’s right, I said that you are an idiot, and you need to stop making prophecies because you are obviously not a prophet. How many false prophecies are you going to make before you realize this?’”
“I can’t believe he said that on television,” responded one viewer, “I think he just lost a lot of credibility.” Still others see these statements as a sign of Robertson’s genuineness and feel that many will now have greater respect for him.
Robertson says that he will continue striving to be a great visionary and leader, but that he will stop making prophecies and instead suggest “probable outcomes” based on solid research. He says that these probabilities may or may not come true, and that he’ll leave the prophecies to true prophets.
He has proven he is an idiot by endorsing homo and abortion loving Rudy - that is NOT what the Judeo Christian God wants Christians to do. We are NOT to promote more of this.
Well, who are we to argue with God?
The site is satire. Made up. Meant to be funny, with a bit of truth to it.
I'll defer to GOD on this one!!....lol
Oh, it fooled me but as you say, there is some truth to it.
;)
This “prophecy” Pat made earlier this year is for real. It is November, and the predicted massive attack on the USA has not occurred. Pat seems to specialize in the false prophecy department.

He specializes in taking money from housebound blue-haired old ladies.
This I believe.
According to Luke 21:1-4, so did the Pharisees.
And according to Luke 21:5-6, we see their judgment pronounced, which came to fruition in 70 A.D.
When will Pat's?
What is the penalty for a false prophet?
Deu 18:20 'But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.'
Deu 18:21 "You may say in your heart, 'How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?'
Deu 18:22 "When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

If “Patsy” speaks for God, I’m Eleanor Roosevelt.
