Vanity: The Democrats and the L.A. Times must be defeated!!
Vanity | October 6, 2003 | Jim Robinson

Edited on 10/06/2003 5:47:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson. [history]

The Los Angeles Times and the Democrat corruption machine must be defeated!! No ifs, ands, or buts about it!

This is bigger than Schwarzenegger vs McClintock, bigger than Republican vs Democrat, and even bigger than conservative vs liberal. This is for our American way of life vs the dark side. Not just for California, but for all of America. The leadership of the Democrat Party and their official party platform of corruption, abortion, homosexualism, socialism, slavery to big government, slavery to over-taxation, slavery to terrorism and willing subjugation to foreign powers and world bodies is pure evil. Yes, I'd rather have a more conservative person than Arnold for California, but sorry folks, looks like the numbers aren't there. And I'm unwilling to take chances on allowing Davis to slip out of the recall or, even worse, to allow Bustamante to win the governorship.

Crushing liberalism is what Free Republic is all about. Gray Davis being recalled by the (mostly Democrat) people of California has got to be one of the greatest defeats for liberalism in recent history. And the additional rejection by the same democrat electorate of the ultra-liberal, illegal-alien-loving, tax-them-till-they-die, Cruz Bustamante will be the coup de grâce!

The Democrats are pulling out all the stops on this one. They see losing California as what it is, a death blow for liberalism. The people of California are sending the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, the Democrat Party, and Bill & Hillary Clinton a great big rejection slip!

No thanks! Your liberalism, socialism, corruption and evil murderous programs are not welcome!

Send them your own personal message and slap in the face and one they cannot misinterpret and will not soon forget.

Terminate Gray Davis! Terminate Cruz Bustamante! And terminate the idiot Democrat Party and their complicit partners in crime, the Los Angeles Times, et al!

Vote Yes on Recall and vote Yes for the Terminator!!

Sorry, Dan. Tom was trolling for votes on both shows.

Please, Dan, he's desperate and confused and feeling lost. Ignore him. Focus on the future and what we can do to help Governor Schwarzenegger in his housecleaning in Sacramento. Sure, like D1 sez, we'll hold his feet to the fire, but what can we do to continue our righteous indignation through Arnie?

I know it is tough to change horses, good call. I wish Arnold thought more like McClintock, but electing him will be a sharp poke in the eye to the Democrats, and the arrogant elite in California badly need that.

Cheers!

Now that Jim Rob has changed his support to Arnold, it is time for all Conservatives to rally behind this courageous and remarkable man.

The Clintons have declared War on America.

This is no time for petty idealism.

Losing California is the first step in appeasing terrorism, and endangering the livelihood and very lives of you, your family, and your friends.

VOTE ARNOLD. IF YOU LOVE AMERICA.

I am not kidding. I knew he had "concerns" about the groping stories. But he was on Chris Matthews' election special tonight and yes, he said we "didn't know" the full context of Schwarzenegger's Hitler comments and he had concerns about it.

The fact that Schwarzenegger is on the record as despising Hitler was not mentioned by host or guest. Or the fact that the original story was misreported then "corrected".

I want to be positive and pull together, as someone else noted here on the thread, but this cannot be ignored. That McClintock would deliberately perpetuate the notion that Schwarzenegger admires Hitler was breathtaking to me. I said to my husband "He is FINISHED in California Republican politics!".

I like the post where someone says to pray for Arnold to see the light RE abortion. I also am praying for Tom McClintock, that God bless him with grace, courage, strength, and comfort.

And GOD BLESS Jim Robinson, my biggest hero since Chuck Yeager!

Oh, that's just... oh! Assuming you're telling me straight, what about the Jews in his home villiage (IN AUSTRIA!!!) saying the story was nuts, plus his breaking up the neo-Nazi meeting, plus testimony after testimony from Jews he's helped... good heavens, that is low. Low, low, low. When I thought my opinion couldn't drop.

g68, I appreciate your appeal for unity.

This gesture and remarks and endorsement by Jim is unfortunately playing out as I suspected. While some appeal for unity and most will heed the call, others are willing to continue the attacks, justified or not.

Even if Tom was saying what he is now being inferred to have said( which I doubt), will it be any different to many here after the returns are in and Davi$ is vanquished and Arnie is dclared the winner after a prolonged certification and legal challenges?

Sadly, the battles that have torn the GOP apart will continue as will the battles here. Life may get better but it may also stay the same, or God forbid, it may get even worse. And somehow, it may not really matter in the end who wins if we all must continue to be witnesses to more of the same nastiness as has played itself out here of late.

I might also ask those who react as they do towards Tom if what was said is true. How would you conduct yourself if you were in his shoes, and be honest?

I remember my first foray in running for "office" in junior high.. LOL ,, man , it took a lot of ribbing to live it down but I did and by the end of my senior year I was elected Class VP(I know, whooptty dee). Some folks are able to overlook others transgressions or visions of the future, others only seek to remind us of our failings or clamorings all too often.

What will you do?

Unity. I'll settle for a couple days of relative peace myself.

I have no desire to bash McClintock, but I reported what he said on tv tonight and I am a very accurate reporter of what I hear and have a track record doing just that.

I am all for pulling together, but I will not be called a liar and I absolutley did not misunderstand what I heard.

Food for thought: The clintons are poised to claim victory if the recall fails. It must not happen....he must be recalled, for all of our sakes

YES! The Dems brought all of their "heavy hitters" - both clintoons, Feinstein, McAuliffe, and all of the party workers to save Davis. If Davis is gone, they have all lost some prestige. And that will help all of us, everywhere.
There's nothing that would warm my heart more than a loss for the clintoons. And this could be one.

He says on his campaign website that he believes marriage should only be between a man and a woman. Please stop spreading bad information.

And he says it in his appearances, and on his TV and radio spots, yet I have seen many freepers allege this too.
