Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Hi, Gramma,

This outage is reminding me of something else. (It's amazing how all this comes back.) This is if baby Logan comes home on a monitor or anything else. The family can contact the power company and they can put them on a list of people who may have an emergency situation if the power goes out. This list includes people on life sustaining equipment. This way, if there is a power outage, they will be on a priority list to have the power restored.

I've thought of the same thing myself, today. All of those hospitals with the needy people in them.

What wonderful news! I am SO glad to hear of Logan's continued improvement. It has just made my day! I pray that God continues to strengthen little Logan so that he will be at home soon in the loving arms of his family. God Bless.

Your loving update on the progress Logan is making has caused tears to flow down my face-I'm typing through a waterfall of gratefulness to our Father and to you for your post. God is awesome, and to know that this baby is a miracle in more ways than one, considering what his mommy has gone thru in her own life against the odds of ever having a little one, one so very, very wanted, is just such a great way to begin this Friday.

To write a note like you did exposes your character and good friendship to this family in a mighty way. I am so glad you are a FReeper and I am so very glad to here that Logan is responding to life. God's arms are surely enfolding this little fellow and those surrounding him on earth!

Oh oh, Republic and everyone else....that wonderful post was written by Logan's Grandma. My little ditty was in italics, the rest of it is his Grandma's. NOT mine.

I don't have an update, as of right now...I've been at work and while there, something happened to my email. Everything that may have come in, everything that was sitting there earlier, has gone the way of the Twilight Zone.

So......let's all just keep up the prayers, with or without the update. And hey, maybe I'll get one yet.
