Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Of course we pray for Logan, and we should probably intensify those prayers. God never tires of hearing from us. But please also remember to pray for Logan's parents (and grandparents.) I know that when they don't let you hold (or even touch) your baby for very long, it is gut-wrenching. So they need some moral support as well.

That little Logan is sure a fighter. I guess it will take time before his body can start to function without all the intervention. Poor little thing. But at least he is gaining weight and is improving.
My best wishes as usual for him and for little Sara, too.
These are trying times. As I said before, time is the healer and we must be patient... difficult as it is.

Your latest news is further encouragement. I feel for your fluctuating emotions as this brave child continues to fight with God's support and His control over situations we humans often find ourselves helpless to participate in. By seeking outside prayer, you as his guardians are providing the best care for this little one:) ...prayers continue for this one and little Sarah.

In a nutshell.......I don't have much other than he's had a relatively calm day. My friend was so beat after the last 2 days that she called it a night....early.

The reason it's taking so long is I DO have a new picture, and fotki & I are fighting right now.

Hi my dear Freepers...I don't have an "official" update on our Logan tonight. I've spoken with his Nana today and he's had a nice quiet day and evening. Obviously, she was exhausted after the last 24 hours and called it a day, early. Mo1 was SO gracious and posted the latest picture I was given of Logan. See post #1438, if you haven't already.

LOOK AT THOSE BIG BRIGHT BEAUTIFUL EYES!!! Whooo HOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Thanks to all of you for the continous prayers, the freepmails, and telling your friends and family about our boy. God Bless each of you!! BG
