20.7; 5'9" - 140lbs. This says I'm just on below center of their normal range. Truth is, some people have said that I looked sickly. I do 300 pushups plus other strength training 3 day/wk. I run 3-5 miles, 3-5 days/wk, or do 30 minutes @ 18+ mph on the stationary bike if the weather is bad.
I don't know if the BMI standards are correct. I frankly think I'm a little underweight.

17.7 And my wife says that yes, I do looked like a starved Ethiopian. But I just finished off a mixed grill of steak and shrimp, so I'm not starving....19.8, and polishing off a peanut butter and bacon sandwich, some chips, and a quart of chocolate milk.

Guess that makes sense. I've inherited my dad's build- I'll never be skinny, but my health statistics are generally very good (low blood pressure, average cholesterol, low heart rate). Add some muscle picked up from lifting weights, and that pushes me into the 'obese' range.
Probably goes to show that you should look at the whole health picture rather than just one statistic.

Yeah I'm a hog too. 210 6' Run 5 mi in about 42min. Might as well starve myself along with you and all the other people who are disciplined. I like being a big corn fed mule. Pencil neck geeks can't hang!

According this, Manny Ramirez (Red Sox outfielder) is overweight, and Red Sox pitcher, Casey Fossum, a toothpick, is perfect. For some reason that doesn't make sense to me. It doesn't seem too scientific.

Read my tagline....I've been off the stuff for a week, and feel wonderful. It was slowly poisoning me. It's just another way that the food industry is making big bucks at our expense.

Riiiight.
To: SamAdams76
Hate to tell you Sam. You didn't need a BMI scale to tell you that you were overweight at 6'3" 225 or above. FWIW I'm 6'3" 195lbs and still not that healthy by their standards. If I was going to be real healthy I would have to weigh 165-170lbs (My Weight at 18 years old). When I weighed that much I used to bicycle 350-400 miles a week and had about an 1/8" fat to pinch anywhere on my body. My own rule is eat healthy and go by what your body tells you. You can throw out most of these recommendations and just use common sense.
