French Toast! (A great editorial on the French!)

I remember reading this story years ago about a guy who was fired at work yet no one immediately around him knew it at the time. So he kept coming into work.

Every day at 9 a.m. sharp, he would take off his coat, neatly place it beside his desk, sit down and do his job -- making purchase orders, even attending meetings!

Cavuto devastated a French idiotarian on Fox about an hour ago. Cavuto was polite, but brilliantly confronted this guy with how wrong and arrogant the French were. The guy looked shell-shocked (altho he admitted nothing). The sweat on his upper lip was glistening, and it looked like it was really sinking in to him in what contempt we justifiably hold the French.

Effective now, the French... are toast.

The ravages of tertiary syphilis.

Terrible. Terrible.

To my horror I found myself in St Barth's during the first week of the war. Plans made way before the French showed their colors. I quickly realized why we will never get along with those arrogant people.

Did you know, that when they want to say house they say "maison" and when they want to say hat they say "chapeau"?

It's almost as though they've gone and made up a different word for everything!

Send them back their statue. We can build a much better one. Twice as tall as the World Trade Towers. We'll build one so tall that you'll be able to see it from space.

Nonsense.

Except for the execrable (and specially imported) customs officers (who have been exiled to the airport where they can't harass anyone too much) the inhabitants of St. Barth are Norman French. I have never had a moment's trouble with anyone on that island (except the German tourists, but they are that way wherever they are). The St. Barthians are kind, polite, and patient with people like myself whose French is rudimentary . . . and they have zippo to do with the policies of the government back in France.

Paris, on the other hand, is another story. You couldn't get me back into that city if you gave me a free painting from the Louvre.
