3 PARTS:

Congratulations America
Countdown to Socialism in America
Satan's Strongest Weapon

Congratulations America

The following is the first in a three-part series written by our Chairman, Joe Larson. Mr. Larson intents this series to be a wake-up call for America’s Christian Men – men who have long been asleep at the wheel. His words may be bruising, but his message is a blessing. – webmaster

Part One of Three -

Congratulations America: Today there are over 10,000 openly Marxist professors and thousands of Humanist professors controlling the universities and colleges that produce America’s teachers and other professionals. Varying forms of Marxist-Humanism are the predominant philosophies of the educational establishment; yet we repeatedly send our most precious gift (our children) off to them for ‘education’ (indoctrination).

Our schools are filled with violence, murder, extortion, rape, unwanted pregnancy, drug use, disrespect, foul language, declining test scores and children who cannot read....

Today’s schools are filled with sex education, political correctness, environmental extremism, global unity, diversity training (pro-homosexuality) and higher order thinking skills [HOTS]; which boldly claim that to become a higher order thinker one must first believe the fact that there are no absolutes, Absolutely! “The Greatest Story Ever Told” based on the greatest book ever written, The Holy Bible about the greatest teacher who ever lived, Jesus is not allowed, let alone used, in the schools of America. The Bible was America’s first textbook; yet today it is referred to as a book of fables.

Our schools are filled with violence, murder, extortion, rape, unwanted pregnancy, drug use, disrespect, foul language, declining test scores and children who cannot read. While the pontificators wonder why, God doesn’t; He knows - Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, I will also reject thee …seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God; I will also forget thy children.” Verse 7 “As they were increased, so they sinned against Me: Therefore, will I change their glory into shame.”

The problem with America’s educational system began with the birth of Socialism and given impetus by Federal government involvement....

The problem with America’s educational system began with the birth of Socialism and given impetus by Federal government involvement. Lenin, one of the world’s leading experts on Socialism, tells us - “Communism is Socialism in a hurry”. Socialism, therefore, is Communism by gradualism rather than by revolution. The Socialist ‘Fabian Society’, the forerunner of most Socialists groups in America, had as their motto ‘Make Haste Slowly’. ‘Democratic Socialism’ became the battle cry to socialize the United States of America. Their goal was to ‘permeate and penetrate’, then control from deep within. Their first target in America was education.

followers would use language as their first line of attack and deceit. They would wear no badge, nor socialist label, but were to call themselves ‘liberal’, ‘progressive’ and even ‘moderate’....

In the U.S. their followers would use language as their first line of attack and deceit. They would wear no badge, nor socialist label, but were to call themselves ‘liberal’, ‘progressive’ and even ‘moderate’. Words were the weapon of choice for this new war. By changing and shifting word meanings they would cover their true purpose. Everything would be done under the banners of ‘reform’ and ‘social justice’, suggesting all was for the public good, for humanitarian reasons, for true democracy and finally for the children. The buzzwords of Socialism, were, and are today, ‘social’ and ‘democracy’ (i.e. social science, social studies and socialization of the child). Remember this; “a Communist never does anything under his own name that he can do under someone else’s.” Robert Conquest.

In the early 1900’s, because of unrest in Europe, thousands of socialists flocked to America for safety. Large numbers held degrees in the fields of psychology, sociology and psychiatry,(behavioral sciences, dealing with behavior and [social] change). Many went on to become college and university professors.

Norman Thomas, Socialist and member of the Civil Liberties Union, boldly told the world,
The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism, but under the name of liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program until one day America will be a Socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened.”

The story of how the Socialists took over the American educational establishment would fill a book; so let us just listen to their own words.

“You can’t make Socialists out of individualists. Children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society which is coming, where everyone is interdependent.” - Dewey

John Dewey, called ‘the father of modern education’, was an avowed Socialist, the co-author of the ‘Humanist Manifesto’ and cited as belonging to fifteen Marxist-front organizations by the Committee on Un-American Activities. Do the words (the father of modern education) now take on new meaning? Remember, Dewey taught the professors who would train America’s teachers. He was obsessed with ‘the group’. In his own words, “You can’t make Socialists out of individualists. Children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society which is coming, where everyone is interdependent.”

The School-To-Work system in our public schools (all fifty states) is modeled after the Soviet poly-technical system....

Rosalie Gordon, writing on Dewey’s progressive (Socialist) education in her book What’s Happened To Our Schools, said

“The progressive system has reached all the way down to the lowest grades to prepare the children of America for their role as the collectivists of the future …The group – not the individual child – is the quintessence of progressivism. The child must always be made to feel part of the group. He must indulge in group thinking and group activity.”
After visiting the Soviet Union, Dewey wrote six articles on the “wonders” of Soviet education. The School-To-Work system in our public schools (all fifty states) is modeled after the Soviet poly-technical system. Surprise!

In 1936, the National Education Association stated their position, from which they have never wavered;
“We stand for socializing the individual.”
The N.E.A. in its ‘Policy For American Education’ stated;
“The major problem of education in our times arises out of the fact that we live in a period of fundamental social change. In the new democracy [we were a Republic] education must share in the responsibility of giving purpose and direction to social change. The major function of the school is the social orientation of the individual … Education must operate according to a well-formulated social policy.”

Paul Haubner, specialist for the N.E.A., tells us
“The schools cannot allow parents to influence the kind of values-education their children receive in school; … that is what is wrong with those who say there is a universal system of values. [Christians?] Our (humanistic) goals are incompatible with theirs. We must change their values.”

Professor Chester M. Pierce, M.D., Professor of Education and Psychiatry at Harvard, has this to say,
“Every child in America entering school at the age of five is mentally ill because he comes to school with certain allegiances to our Founding Fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, and toward the sovereignty of this nation as a separate entity. It’s up to you as teachers to make all these sick children well – by creating the international child of the future.”

“Christians are not exactly bright, so it will be easy for socialism to lead them down the garden path through their ideals of brotherly love and ‘social justice’....

Some politicians agree. Listen to former Senator Paul Hoagland of Nebraska:

“The fundamentalist parents have no right to indoctrinate their children in their beliefs. We are preparing their children for the year 2000 and life in a global one-world society and those children will not fit in.”

From ‘Humanism; A New Religion’,
“Education is thus a most powerful ally of humanism. What can a theistic Sunday school’s meeting for an hour once a week and teaching only a fraction of the children do to stem the tide of the five-day program of humanistic teaching?”
P. Blanchard, in ‘The Humanist’ 1983, continues:
“I think that the most important factor moving us toward a secular society has been the educational factor. Our schools may not teach Johnny how to read properly, but the fact that Johnny is in school until he is sixteen tends toward the elimination of religious superstition. The average American child now acquires a high school education, and this militates against Adam and Eve and all other myths of alleged history.”

“The battle for mankind’s future must be waged and won in the public school classroom … The classroom must and will become the arena of conflict between the old and the new … the rotting corpse of Christianity and the new faith of humanism.” The ‘Humanist Magazine’
Jan./Feb 1983 –John J. Dunphy.

Our bureaucrats, politicians and educators are constantly on television blaming either parents, or lack of funds for our school’s dilemmas. The answer is always more money and more government control. For well over fifty years the American voter has believed this line of crap. Victor Gollancz, a famous socialist publisher tells us why he believed that socialism would take over America; “Christians are not exactly bright, so it will be easy for socialism to lead them down the garden path through their ideals of brotherly love and ‘social justice’.

Maybe it’s (past) time the Christian men stand up for their families and their faith and put God back, in charge of this nation and it’s schools, where He belongs. It’s that simple.

COUNT DOWN TO SOCIALISM IN AMERICAN

By Joseph R. Larson
Chairman, Restoring America

A 1996 poll revealed the surprising news that over 50% of Americans feared their government; perhaps this is the fulfillment of a warning by Thomas Jefferson.

“When all government, domestic and foreign, in little as in great things, shall be drawn to Washington as the center of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we have separated.”

From the beginning of America’s colonies until nearly 1837, education in America was purchased through private schools of choice. The churches provided free schools to all who would come. Horace Mann, a Harvard elite, believed his mission was to remove educational control from the communities and the people - delivering control to the state.

One of the NEA’s founders Zalman Richards, at the Union’s 1858 convention, condemned private education with scorn. He asserted that private schools were degrading to the teaching profession. By 1885 some in the NEA were espousing that both property and children belong not to the people, but to the state. By 1905 the American government was spending nearly 22% of all public funds on public education. “Remember” the tenth plank of the Communist Manifesto:

“Free education for all children in public schools [and] combination of education with industrial production…”

John Dewey, father of modern education, in 1933 coauthored the Humanist Manifesto I. The manifesto confidently asserts that:

  1. Man evolved by chance,
  2. Man created god,
  3. Man is his own authority,
  4. There are no absolutes,
  5. All men should be exposed to diverse “realistic” viewpoints –including profanity, immorality and perversion,
  6. ALL forms of sexual expression are acceptable,
  7. Government ownership or control of the entire economy,
  8. Global Citizenship, replaces self-determination and nationalism, and
  9. No existence beyond the grave - no heaven or hell.

The United Nations education program was approved in 1946 at the first United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) General Conference. One of the first items on its agenda was the creation of ‘A Study Of Education For International Understanding in the primary and secondary schools and in institutions of higher learning of Member States, to be conducted by the Member States with the assistance of the UNESCO Secretariat’. Each nation was required to conduct a study of how textbooks treated the subject of international agencies and world government.

The National Education Association in 1954 published a book [in compliance with UNESCO] to instruct educators in the proper methods of teaching children about the benefits of world government. It had specific chapters dealing with each benefit and one chapter on how to develop world-minded teachers. The issue of altering world history through educational textbooks was so important that two chapters were dedicated entirely to that subject.

The “Soviet Education Programs; Foundations, Curriculums, Teacher Preparation” was published in 1960 by the U.S Department of Health, Education and Welfare. This document was the blueprint for the School-To-Work restructuring that would take place in America. In 1961, Rep. John M. Ashbrook tried to alert Congress as to the U.S. adoption of a soviet approach to education by citing a HEW document called “A Federal Educational Agency for the Future”. Ashbrook called the new education program “a blueprint for complete domination and direction of our schools from Washington.” Remember Thomas Jefferson’s warning?

“Pacesetters In Innovation” - - a 584-page catalogue of behavior modification programs to be used by America’s schools...

Two major federal initiatives were developed in 1965 with funding from the “Elementary and Secondary Education Act” which was passed in that same year. One was the Behavioral Science Teacher Educational Program; the other was a government publication “Pacesetters In Innovation” - - a 584-page catalogue of behavior modification programs to be used by America’s schools. No, not 584 pages of educational programs, but 584 pages filled with behavior modification programs. In summary, the intent was to create future Americans who would accept the United Nations and the concept of a global nation and one world government.

If schools really taught American history and government, people would know that in 1970 Congress recognized that the federal government had limited authority in education. In an amended General Education Provisions Act clearly stated a “Prohibition against Federal Control of Education”:

forbidding the federal government from exercising any “direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction, administration or personnel of any education institution, school, or school system, or over the selection of library resources, textbooks, or other printed or published instructional materials by any educational institution or school system.”

All 790 federally mandated programs are using America’s children as research projects....

In case you are wondering, this law is still valid! The government and educational elite get around this law by a loophole, which allows federal funding of “research and development”. All 790 federally mandated programs are using America’s children as research projects. Do the words guinea pigs come to anyone’s mind?

Catherine Barrett, then president of the National Education Association (1976), gave a speech in which she said,

“First, we will help all of our people understand that school is a concept and not a place. We will not confuse “schooling” with education. The school will be the community, the community the school.”
This reflects the Communist view of education and lifetime control of the masses. Barrett continued,

Students will learn to write love letters and lab notes....

“We will need to recognized that so-called ‘basic skills’ which currently represent nearly the total effort in elementary schools, will be taught in one quarter of the present school day. The remaining time will be devoted to what is truly fundamental and basic -- time for academic inquiry, time for students to develop their own interests, time for a dialogue between students and teachers – more then a dispenser of information, the teacher will be a conveyor of values, a philosopher [in secular humanism]. Students will learn to write love letters and lab notes.”

In the 1980’s, the DOE (Department of Education) changed the character of public schools from ‘teaching’ to ‘ workforce training’, the Soviet poly-technical system. This was done through a DOE work called “Course Goals Collection”, fourteen volumes of 15,000 goals covering every major subject taught in public schools. 70,000 copies were distributed to approximately 16,000 school districts then in existence. This is how Outcome-based education made its way into the schools of America. OBE’s purpose is to change attitudes, values and beliefs.

DOE changed the character of public schools from ‘teaching’ to ‘ workforce training’, the Soviet poly-technical system....

During the 1990’s we were given Goals 2000 and School-to-Work programs that transformed our schools, which through one generation will transform America. School-To-Work was put in place not by legislation, but by executive orders of state Governors. Charlotte Iserbyt in her book The Deliberate Dumbing Down Of America describes this transformation as “the internationalization of education with the exchanges of data systems, curricula, methods, etc., all essential for the implementation of the international socialist management and control system being put into place right now.”

Clinton administration stated that the new Federal system of education is based on standards developed by “international agreements”....

In his last term, President Clinton issued an Executive Order calling for all American schools to adopt “international education”. International education is defined in detail in the U.N. World Declaration On Education For All 1990. It is School-To-Work for the world. The March-April 2000 issue of Foreign Affairs, written by officials in the Clinton administration, states that the new Federal system of education is based on standards developed by “international agreements”. The U.N. World Conference On Education For All, states that the ultimate goal of education is “to work for international peace and solidarity in an interdependent world.” That folks, is the beginning of the New One World Order.

The official title of the Nazi party was “The National Socialist Workers Party Of Germany”. The Nazi’s called themselves “The Children of the New Age of World Order”. Those who challenged the Nazi’s power were branded “conservative reactionaries” or worse yet, Christians were condemned as “right wing fanatics”. History teaches us that if we do not learn the lessons of the past we are doomed to repeat those mistakes.

Satan’s Strongest Weapon

By Joseph R. Larson
Chairman, Restoring America

August 31, 2001

[Part 3 of 3 in a series]

Alexis deTocqueville confidentially stated that; “In America religion is the road to knowledge and the observance of Divine laws leads man to civil freedom. It is by the mandates relating to public education, that the original character of American civilization is at once placed in the clearest light.” He then went on to cite the preamble to the Puritan provision that every township should have a school –

“Whereas,” says the law, “Satan, the enemy of mankind, finds his strongest weapons in the ignorance of men, and whereas it is important that the wisdom of our fathers shall not remain buried in their tombs, and whereas the education of children is one of the prime concerns of the state [society], with the aid of the Lord …”

Another bit of wisdom no longer taught in today’s schools was given to us by Abraham Baldwin, a signer of the Constitution – “A free government … can only be happy when the public principle and opinions are properly directed – by religion and education.” Samuel Huntington, signer and governor of Connecticut, told us “While the great body of freeholders are acquainted with the duties which they owe to their God, to themselves, and to men, they will remain free. But if ignorance and depravity should prevail they will inevitably lead to slavery and ruin.”

The founders of American government believed that schools were the proper means to encourage religion, morality and knowledge. The Northwest Ordinance (federal law considered one of the four foundational or organic laws in America) presented the requirements for statehood … the ordinance declared; “Religion, morality and knowledge being necessary to government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.”

Therefore, I can safely tell you that our Founding Fathers believed Religion was the road of to knowledge, ignorance was the weapon of the devil, and that awareness of history was necessary to keep their wisdom alive. This philosophy is diametrically opposed to today’s educational methodology. In fact, teaching the above information is actually forbidden or improper in many schools in America.

When I was in high school, I had a journalism teacher, Dr. E. L. Kaufman, who had me read and study the 1919 – Communist Rules For Revolution. How many of you have ever read or even heard of these rules? I know that these rules are no longer taught in today’s government controlled educational centers of political correctness. Strong words? Yes, but sadly true. In 1919, files were seized in a raid in Dusseldorf, Germany. The files were marked ‘Communist Rules For Revolution’. The files contained the following nine rules:

  1. Corrupt the young; get them away from religion. Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial; destroy their ruggedness.

  2. Get control of all means of publicity. Get peoples’ minds off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books, plays and other trivialities.

  3. Divide people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance.

  4. Destroy the peoples’ faith in their natural leaders by holding the latter up to contempt, ridicule and obloquy. (Speak against, condemnatory utterances).

  5. Always preach ‘true democracy’ but seize power as fast and as ruthlessly as possible.

  6. By encouraging government extravagance, destroy its credit; produce fear of inflation, rising prices and general discontent.

  7. Foment strikes in vital industries; encourage civil disorders and foster a lenient and soft attitude on the part of government toward these disorders.

  8. By special argument cause a breakdown of the old moral virtues: honesty, sobriety, continence, faith in the pledged word, and ruggedness.

  9. Cause the registration of all firearms on some pretext with a view of confiscation of them and leaving the population helpless.

Today in America, MTV is said to be the most popular show on television, with the World Wrestling Federation running a close second. Most of us remember pictures of Jon-Bonnet Ramsey dressed to mimic and emulate adult sexuality. Madonna, Marilyn Manson and Dennis Rodman are the role models of young Americans. Advertisements for R- rated movies, junk food and foul mouthed rap stars are shown daily to our children in school, courtesy of Channel One.

In 1962, Supreme Court of the United States prohibited prayer in public schools, in 1963 they banned Bible teaching in public schools and in 1980 the same court ordered public schools to remove the Ten Commandments from student view. (The students might have believed and followed the values presented therein.) Since then, illegal drug use in youth has climbed 6,000% - births to unmarried girls (15 to 19) up 500% - teen suicide among 15 to 19 year olds up 450% - child abuse in America up 2,300% - and last but not least, even after lowering the standards twice, our student SAT scores are down 10%. [All statistics from the U.S. Government].

In August of 2001, the Federal government announced that nearly 50% of Americans no longer pay Federal income tax. Isn’t this the perfect example of Socialism’s premise of the redistribution of wealth? Each of the 50 States now has a copy of the Soviet Socialist Poly-technical Educational system in place, called School-To-Work, although not one single state legislature has passed a bill requiring this as legislation. It is frightening and upsetting to me how many of these rules for implementing Socialism/Communism we are inflicting upon ourselves. Will the silent majority in America wake up and take a stand in time? I know what my duty is; Restoring America, one friend, one neighbor, one community and school at a time.

Current Communist Goals

EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Thursday, January 10, 1963

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which she identifies as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen:

CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

my comment: In both WWI and WWII the American Government fought on the side of the Communists. Despite the "cold war" that followed, the goals of the communists were steadfastly  imposed upon the American people. As Americans (the Protectors of the Constitution), we must ask ourselves,...

Men who believe that they are free when in reality they are mere slaves are to be pitied more than those who know that they are slaves.

Wake up countryman, wake up and wake up your neighbor also!  Those repugnant servants have sold out the American people, and have made their (communist) goals "current".

These 45 communist goals are a matter of public record - we have no excuse; worse, our 'humble servants' have known, or should have known, these goals since 1963!

None of the 45 Communist Goals were in full effect in 1963, as I read them today - I can count 41 of them as 'done deals'. Just read them... again, and see what YOU think.

Those Communist Rules for Revolution are among the hokiest hoaxes in the past century. The initial story of how they were found is so full of historical and geographic impossibilities that propagandists leave out that story and just cut to the "rules" as if it were a genuine document. Among other things, never has a copy in the original language surfaced, only this pretended translation (tell me: what was the word that here is translated - presumably by an American GI - as "obloquy").

Great article. Thanks for posting it.

Each time I read about the deliberate efforts to tear down this country, I am appalled anew.

Regardless of your reservations about the source of the Communist Rules for Rev. the fact is this system is being implemented right at this very time with very little objection from the dumbed down Joe Millionaire- Survivor-Bachelor loving public. Our current school age generation is being groomed to accept a life of diminished freedom and opportunities as we become nothing more than a trading zone for the global plantation. If you don't believe it study plans for the FTAA(Free Trade Area of the Americas) and hopefully understand the bigger picture.

Oh, please. You anti-free traders are the world's goofballs. If free trade was so corrupting, the Marxist/Stalinist/Green party/anachists wouldn't be so violently opposed to it.

The greatest fear of the Left is that third world countries will see the advantages of free will expressed thru Capitalism and become rich, educated and anti-Communist. There is no place for Communism is a free trading world and you anti-globalists should put down The New American and try to think logically.

Free market trading zones and international business is the OPPOSITE of Socialism.

OK, show me how free trade has been so great. Have we reduced our trade deficits....NO! Have we created new industries and net job gains....NO! Have we lost whole industries to countries with cheap, subsidized slave wage labor....YES! Have the cost of basic goods like clothes, shoes, appliances, etc. decreased even though much of the manufacturing of these goods are now offshore in cheap labor countries....NO! Quit listening to all the propaganda by the talking heads, do a little research and see what prices for shirts, pants, shoes, etc. used to cost before all this glorious free trade nonsense. Are we wealthier as a country than before?...ABSOLUTELY NOT! Debt levels at the personal, corporate and gov't levels are at all time highs and rising exponentially in this horrible economic climate...we are now the largest debtor nation in the history of the world. No wonder we've fallen so far in the eyes of the world that we have to hat in hand to that freakshow called the UN to even commence Desert Storm II. Talk about goofballs, that nonsense in your last post tells me you've been hanging around too many liberal useful idiots far too long...you sound like you actually believe that idiocy. Please, take your time and tell me how you feel this free trade had been so beneficial to this country. I highly suggest you wake up and learn to think for yourself.

I have begun reading Milton Friedman's 1980 Book Free to Choose. I read the first three chapters last night. It was on the shelf at my local library. Reading the book is why I ran a Freeper search on Socialism today.

By empirical examples throughout American and world history he explains clearly what constitutes free trade and how Government meddling leads to the tyranny of socialism - communism.

I highly recommend you both read it so that you can solidify your arguments instead of resorting to attacking each others mental capacity with phrases like these:

You anti-free traders are the world's goofballs.

I highly suggest you wake up and learn to think for yourself.

I own an electronics co. and have seen the entire domestic electronics industry devastated by the effects of our flawed free trade policy. We've lost whole industries to offshore competition that's either subsidized by their host gov't or utilizes virtual slave labor to garner sizable
(if not all) marketshare of their specialty product. What's been the effects on our economy? Smaller trade deficits?....no, much larger and increasing monthly. More jobs for our economy?....no, quality high tech jobs are disappearing perhaps forever at an alarming rate. More wealth?....no, debt is soaring at the personal, coporate and gov't. level to levels that would've seemed absurd just a few years ago.

Did sending jobs to Mexico stem illegal immigration as promised?...no, illegal immigration has increased exponentially with no end in sight. Now we have a wonderful scenario where many co's can import cheap labor and pay them minimal wages, EVADE MANY PAYROLL TAXES becasue they know full well the taxes paid us suckers will assist their housing, food, medical, etc. needs. I'm not sure what the intent of this book you're talking about may be but I would sure like to see you refute anything I've said that might prove free trade to be a net benefit to our economy.

"Free Trade" implies one is free to make and produce, trade with whom and wherever.

However, prior to that "FREE TRADE" agreement something happpened, the largest tax increase in history.

"Lost whole industries to offshore competition that's either subsidized by their host gov't or utilizes virtual slave labor to garner".....

Taxation of half of ones earnings in a supposed "FREE" country cannot be anything more than slavery. We the "FREE" people have been seduced into believing that "government" knows better how to care for us.

Taxation is the first step in causing harm to an economy.

When government takes from producers earnings, controlls wages, health care costs, and regulates how and where business can do business, certainly cannot be called "free" for anyone.

Goverment is suppose to "PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE" not control it.

Can't agree more with your assessment. The problem is that in order for free trade to work there must be fair trade between partners. That does not happen in this global market to any degree that benefits us. Heck, prior to NAFTA we even had a trade surplus with Mexico which has now been reversed. People can say what they wish but NAFTA, GATT, etc. were all created to gut the manufacturing infrastructure of this country, break the unions and create huge decreases in labor expenses for global corps. who care nothing about the future of this country. When we experience the tremendous decrease of previously productive taxpayers (personal and corporate) the burden is shifted to those of us still trying to run viable enterprises and I can tell you these added burden are strangling small businesses in this country.

Considering UNIONS leadership totally support the socialist party in this country no sympathy for them.

What I do not understand is why there is little demand by the population for "TAX CUTS".

What has happened to that individual "FREE SPIRIT" that demands to keep more of what they earn.

When half of the population completely relies on government funding, their vote actually counts two times. Once for themselves and once for socialism.

When will what "FREE" thinking people have had enough to stand up and say -- NO MORE Senator Clinton, I as a "FREE" individual choose to keep more of what I earn.

Wait until some sort of emergency occurs (and it will happen) and the gov't checks stop. Sure the party will be over for all these parasites living off of our labor but now a large % do not speak the language, have no skills and have little reason to be here. Warning to the wise: "people with nothing to lose, have nothing to lose".

We've lost whole industries to offshore competition that's either subsidized by their host gov't or utilizes virtual slave labor to garner sizable (if not all) marketshare of their specialty product.

So we move our capital and human resources into more efficient and advanced technologies. There is always short-term pain, for long term gain in becoming more efficient. Look at the world auto industry for examples.

Smaller trade deficits?....no, much larger and increasing monthly.

We benefit from getting as large a volume of imports as possible in return for the amount of exports, or equivalently, from exporting as little as possible to pay for the imports. The way the term deficit is expressed in foreign trade is a misnomer.

More jobs for our economy?....no, quality high tech jobs are disappearing perhaps forever at an alarming rate. More wealth?.

Unemployment hit 25% in 1933, it now stands at 5.8% and that number is skewed terribly by the welfare state. Americans are the richest people on earth and getting richer in spite of the stock market and trade deficits. We do have the high skilled jobs as measured by the fact we are still the most productive people on earth too.

debt is soaring at the personal, coporate and gov't. level to levels that would've seemed absurd just a few years ago.

Personal debt is soaring, Yes. But national debt is far less than it was as a % of GDP in 1979. With low interest rates the Government has refinanced a considerable amount of the federal debt as well. Corporate debt is used to leverage productivity gains, as you know.

Did sending jobs to Mexico stem illegal immigration as promised?...no, illegal immigration has increased exponentially with no end in sight.

Half of your point is lost in the fact that they still keep coming. This must be the land of opportunity. It also happens to be one of the freest (socialist) nations on earth. As far as the strain the illegals place on government services, I agree. Call your state legislators.

I sympathize with your challenge of having your capital assets tied up in the electronics industry if you feel threatened by competition. You clearly need to risk moving what capital assets you have left into a more promising endeavor if you fear losing your patrons to competition from abroad.

I would have to write all day to express what you don't seem to grasp. Your current beliefs about economics are the very reason countries turn into protectionist, insular, unproductive, socialist states. I'm sorry if recommending a book on economics with detailed empirical evidence to prove my point offends you too.

First of all, save the sympathy because I think you'll need most of it for yourself when you finally realize what reality is instead of percentages of this or that and vague references to 70 yrs. ago when we were mired in a Depression that will be a picnic compared to what we're going to see.

Some of your assertions really mystify me, your thoughts on illegal immigration especially. Of course, they live in a rotting third country but the main reason they're here is they receive numerous benefits paid for by you and me. If you don't think it's a problem fine...but I care more about my children's future. We are subsidizing the greatest corporate welfare scam in history but I guess that's just the way things go huh?

As far as the debt issue, are you aware that the fedgov owes Social Security almost 25 TRILLION $ due to the borrowings over the last 2-3 decades that masked the true deficits we were actually experiencing but I guess we shouldn't worry....still a small % of GDP. As far as corporate debt goes I guess the stock market has yet to genuinely reflect all these "leveraged productivity gains" into more value for stockholders but I'm sure any day now it's all going to turn around and get soar to previous high levels...yep any day now.

Also, free trade must come with fair trade to make it a mutually beneficial situation. The massive drain we've seen on technology and jobs is a direct result of a very flawed model that has put us on course for a train wreck once the plug is pulled on all this cheap money that's keeping this economy barely afloat. I could go and probably write all day also, but when there's a disconnect between reality and wishful thinking it doesn't serve any purpose so good luck and really I hope I'm wrong but I know I won't be.

You need to read more carefully. I said "As far as the strain the illegals place on government services, I agree. Call your state legislators." in my last post.

While I did state the percentages of federal debt have improved, I recognize that the long term problem will not be resolved without addressing the socialist policies of a big brother style wealth redistributing Federal government which promotes strong disinsentives to work and create wealth.

My point here is that Free trade is not part of the problem. Any, and I mean any, resrictions on trade in our economy is detrimental to our freedom and wealth potential.

Japan subsidizes their steel industry heavily. In order to subsidize lower prices on steel the Japanese gov't must tax ordinary citizens to move money to the steel producers. We get cheaper steel paid with the tax dollars of Japanese citizens. Neat, huh? Now we take dollars that were in our less efficient steel industry and plow them into R & D for cheaper energy sources or other market driven needs. We do lose jobs in steel, but we gain jobs in new needed investments with the unused capital.

The most fundamental part of free trade confers a mutually beneficial agreement between traders or there would never be a trade. So even if other countries want to sell us candy, gloves, and cars, we won't buy them unless we see a benefit. And if someone else can make them cheaper we will switch trading partners in a heart beat.

It has nothing to do with unfair trade rules such as tariffs and subsidies. These are tools of government to confer your money and mine to special interest as they see fit. It is the same in other countries or markets. So, if you can see it, free trade removes the tyranny of gov't. and trade rules impose the tyranny of gov't and make the market less efficient. This in turn reduces our standard of living.

Well, I think the Japanese help me prove my point to a great degree. First of all, they were the masters of using predatory capitalism by vertically integrating many of their large corporations so that huge outfits like Mitsubishi for instance have interests in several major industries simultaneously. Combining their financial leverage into several areas at once like finance, auto, electronics, steel, consumer electronics, etc. they could well afford to lose money in one or more areas because they were seizing a large amount of influence and $ in other markets.

Their goal was market share and they didn't care how much money was lost until they gained a comfortable % of the targeted market. Sure, they may have lost money for a while in steel, etc. but my guess is they succeeded in their long term goal which was driving American competition and jobs into oblivion. All this was possible due to the Japanese gov'ts. laissez faire coporate policies while Amercian co's were forced to deal with onerous fed'l reg's, very high interest rates, strangling taxes, etc.

All those mfg, engineering, mgt, production jobs were lost in the process....never to return. How were we better off after the Japanese perpetrated their brand of free trade to be followed by the Communist Chinese who've grabbed other markets because of two bowls of rice/day labor, thugs running their gov't and either buying or compromising our politicians into submission? What have we gained from dealing with these people other than more deficits, more debt and more menial Walmart style jobs? None of it makes a bit of sense to me and I'm continually fascinated by those who've swallowed the "free trade good" mantra hook, line and sinker despite so much evidence to the contrary.
