Yep, NY lost 4-6 seats as people escape, the illegals will help NY get a few more seats. And NY is deep Blue, so any new seats are Democrat.

Honest question. I thought the 538 came from 435 (house) + 100 (senate) + 3(DC) = 538. The Electoral college number = congressional delegations in a state. So if the 435 and the 100 stay the same, should not the electoral votes any given state have be reflective of the number of representatives? And this re-alignment happens after every census.
If the above is accurate then there are no changes in representation until 2030.

I agree that it may be the least nefarious but it may be easier to understand for the population at large.
Not a single Democrat votes with American citizens. Between the images of thousands at the border, the obvious crime victims of illegals and the simple explanation that Democrats are diluting the value of the vote for most American citizens, a commercial could be cut and run over and over again.

13 seats would only happen if all of them settled in previously unoccupied territory - an idealized but impossible scenario.
The actual change in seats could be many more - or many less - depending on how carefully they were distributed and whether the illegals voted (look out for a desperate Biden to try to pull some sort of double back flip amnesty declaration before Nov. 5).
13 is, thus, a hypothetical to try to inform the innumerate (which obviously includes most congress critters).
No it won’t. The 435 HOR sears is a fixed number. It will however shift seats between states.
As I understand it, 435 representatives is set in stone so there aren’t more representatives, rather the number of people (citizens) they represent increase with each census. It certainly can keep districts from shifting as much with liberal states’ residents moving out. As to counting the illegals, I guess we could try the 3/5th solution again though it would still be unsatisfactory.

Do not think they count them, or how accurately.
But they really try to count all illegals, and all resident non-citizens.
Taking them in account in congressional, but also state districts boundaries determination is based on some old supreme court decision (actually on interpretation of some SC decision).
This would be OK, if the non-citizens were distributed uniformly around the country.
But they are NOT!
Noncitizens, and especially illegals tend to congregate in small, well defined areas, mostly among minority citizens. So Rep Nydia Vazquez (D-NY) represents only about 200,000 citizens, a lot less than average reps with about 700,000 citizens.
She gets reliably reelected for many years. If you look at her voting tally, She ends up with ridiculously low number of total votes! But they are mostly Democrats.
