CNN has been desperately treading water for years now. The former king of cable news has been bleeding ratings for years, with Fox News typically topping all the networks night after night. CNN still fancies itself the "most trusted name in news," yet, even former CEO Chris Licht admitted last year that that trust — assuming at one point they actually had it — is long gone and they need to restore it. He didn't last long.
The problem, of course, is that CNN claims to be fair and without bias, yet anti-conservative views have long been part of its DNA, as the network's on-air talent routinely bases its reports on Democratic Party talking points. Even token conservatives on the network are a joke, and sound more like liberal pundits.
The struggling network is now desperately trying to get out of its death spiral, and step one is to cut costs by axing the remaining big name talents who have extremely large salaries.
New CEO Mark Thompson is preparing ruthless cuts to remake the network as ratings plunge — leaving Anderson Cooper, Chris Wallace, Wolf Blitzer and Jake Tapper facing dates with the axman, a source says.
“Anderson knows he’s on the chopping block because he makes a whopping $20 million a year. He’s already started looking for a new gig!” a network insider exclusively tells In Touch. “Chris Wallace takes $8 million and figures he’s a likely target, too!”
Insiders say other network favorites — including $15 million man Blitzer and $8 million gent Tapper – are also bracing for the boot!

They need to get rid of that homely moron Dana Bash.
Certainly hope the headline is accurate...
And I long to read the same news for CPB- NPR/PBS soon...
Any network that pays a no-talent idiot like Chris Wallace 8 million needs to die a horrific death.
Last time I flew I didn’t even see CNN on the TVs I saw. The bar mostly had sports channels on, and there was a CNBC store, which obviously had NBC program programming on.
I'm sure they'll land on their feet like Tucker Carlson because there is sooooo much demand for their output. Not.
Yep, you nailed it, but it’s the new frontier and conservatives should be all over this from eery direction. This ‘could’ be a chance of a lifetime to put the truth back into news.
And Ted Turner is sitting on his porch, looking over his 2 million acres and smiling…..
Interesting observation that should make us realize how truly insignificant we are. Thanks for the reminder.
So the commie bass turds might not be around to do a cheeerful play by play on the total collapse of America? That’s too bad.
They need somebody like Elon Musk to come in and buy CNN. Overhaul the program. Fire the anchors. Hire young employees who will be cheap. Tie it in with X (formerly Twitter).
Ted Turner is 85 and has Lewy Body Dementia. So he won’t be alive much longer.
@ 29 I don’t know about that. One needs to know what the opposition is up to if they want to think about moving forward and confronting it. Ignorance of how an enemy moves and thinks, may not be productive.
Oh, I'm sure they don't care about the money - being the equality and fairness driven champions of the common world citizen that they are..
CNN Airport was a separate entity (not the same as cable CNN) that paid airports to show it. Hundreds of thousands of dollars plus expenses. Killed by cell phone data several years ago.
That's very sad. He's not my cup of tea, but no one should suffer this.
They did their jobs and did them very well - their jobs were to spread propaganda and give illegal political contributions-in-kind from their bosses to select politicians.
The DNC and Soros types won’t let it die.
Very sad. Robin Williams killed himself rather than suffer the unknown indignities. RIP.
LOLOLOLOLO!
It is okay to laugh isn’t it? I don’t want to appear rude.
Oh, never mind. Who cares?
LOLOLOLOLOLOL!
CNN has watched their viewer numbers drop for over a decade. Their solution? Double-down on the lies and one-sided reporting. What did they THINK would happen?
LOLOLOLOL!
