Why the “ahem”? We’re aware that the SBC sold out to the left a long time ago. It’s disgusting. We tried a new church yesterday. When we checked out the bulletin we realized it’s an SBC church; we will not go back. As an NGO, their cavorting with the illegal situation only one reason way.

Very. My father, uncles, cousins, bazillions of friends from seminary, are Baptist preachers, but Independent Baptists.
SBC members who put money in offering plates should know that some of that money goes up the hierarchy to fund questionable causes. Having no hierarchy in Independent churches lets the membership control where the tithes and offerings go because everything is local.

Re: 74 - reading the relevant sections of the bill, the Immigration sections are not good. For that alone, the Senate bill should be a No vote.
Tillis was the lesser of 2 evils...but his views on immigration really rankle...
What about the Israelis and their families who suffered from the Hamas massacre of October 7? No support for the victims of the palestinian rape/genocide committed against the people of the Jewish state?
I don't have a problem putting that up for a vote.
Johnson needs to keep his promise and pay for any aid to Israel with spending cuts elsewhere, however.
