A JetBlue Airbus A320 struck its tail on the runaway as it accelerated to avoid a collision with a Beechcraft King Air 350..
The JetBlue plane was taking off from the same runway at Yampa Valley Regional Airport that the King Air plane was about to land on..

That’s what happened in Tenerife in 1977, still the largest death toll from a plane crash ever.
I’ve struck a few tail end skidplates in my day.
I haven’t flown in about 20 years and have no plans to. This sort of thing only reinforces that decision.

I would believe that both of those aircraft would have ADS-B which would have informed each other as well as ATC that they were on a collision course.
