I’m not reading all that but congratulations - or condolences.
I didn’t read the entire article...Lefties are always and forever lefties. I Donn’t trust any of them even if the switch to the right. What better way to take over?

I’m familiar with many of the people mentioned here and one thing that almost all of them will tell you is that they didn’t move to the right. They were excommunicated from the Left for not buying 100% into the Left’s ever-changing and expanding woke requirements to be a member of their club. The Right merely welcomed them.

This “thing” (I would hardly call it a “piece” because it such a transparent confused rant) brings out a significant point.
The author believes (I mean really believes, like Christians believe in Christ’s divinity) in some unifying right-wing Evil. All sorts of ideas from across multitudes of ideologies don’t really count. What matters is the big Evil.
Trump, who doesn’t seem to me to be ideological at all, somehow has found and joyfully represents the Evil of the Holocaust, Slavery, the exploited proletariat, child abuse, sexual violence and every other historical badness that a weak education left in the author’s mind.
I think the author is a true believer in “The Great Satan” and should recognize fellowship with Islamic leadership in Iran. After all, If Cat Stevens could find and recognize a new home, then all leftists may want to head that way.
I propose that all the leftists that used to promise to move to Canada if elections didn’t go their way should now unite and move to Iran.
They were never lefties.
In fact there was a time when Southern Democrats were more conservative than Northeastern Republicans.
There’s the concept of “luxury beliefs”, beliefs which confer status, have no real cost if you are wealthy, but have a cost if you’re poor.
