Very long article about the multiple journalists, authors, podcasters, substackers, comedians, influencers, and other various mostly Millennial (though some older and younger) internet personalities who were formerly left-leaning, --many of whom were past Bernie Sanders supporters, who are now labeled as right-wingers.

I'm familiar with many of the people mentioned here and one thing that almost all of them will tell you is that they didn't move to the right. They were excommunicated from the Left for not buying 100% into the Left's ever-changing and expanding woke requirements to be a member of their club. The Right merely welcomed them.

I really like the Red Scare girls, Anna Khachiyan and Dasha Nekrasova, two NYC art chicks and former Bernie supporters (Nekrasova was formerly known for her "Sailor Socialism" interview that went viral in 2017) who now interview Steve Bannon, Alex Jones, and speak about race realism on their increasingly very politically incorrect but very entertaining podcast.

Forget about the horseshoe theory and think of it as a slide rule. As society has slid leftwards, what was once “right” is now in the middle. So those who did not slide as far left are considered “right” by those who did.

There is also an anti-authoritarian (anti-hypocritical) left, a subset of leftists several of whom were named in the article. Their politics didn’t change much. The principles of their former compatriots did.

Years ago in an essay I posted at FR, I pointed out that sometimes Left and Right wrap around each other and cause a new alignment in politics. It appears to be on the horizon.

It's not Edmund Burke, but it makes for a fascinating article.
