The idea of a Ukrainian conventional war with a neighbor the size of Russia was a deranged pipe dream from the get-go. It had to have been only for graft by grifters. What a huge cost of lives and money. Probably the costliest U.S. boondoggle yet and it’s still going on. The war for ‘as long it takes!’

Nearly every agreement between Russia, the EU and the USA has been
broken, so there would have to be concrete guarantees to end the war:
<><>Zelensky has to go; let him clean out his offshore accounts teaming w/ American aid,
<><>Zelensky should stay in exile and never show his flopola face, again.
<><>Ukraine would have to pledge to never join NATO.

No longer needed, now that enough of the knee-jerk American public is supporting the transfer of funding to war in the Middle East.

They may not be winning the war, but they’re definitely going to get this year’s International Panhandling Award.

U.S., European officials broach topic of peace negotiations with Ukraine, sources say
FR / 11/4/2023, 9:39:52 AM · by janetjanet998

WASHINGTON — U.S. and European officials have begun quietly talking to the Ukrainian government about what possible peace negotiations with Russia might entail to end the war, according to one current senior U.S. official and one former senior U.S. official familiar with the discussions.

The conversations have included very broad outlines of what Ukraine might need to give up to reach a deal, the officials said.

Some of the talks, which officials described as delicate, took place last month during a meeting of representatives from more than 50 nations supporting Ukraine, including NATO members, known as the Ukraine Defense Contact...snip

Despite the nonstop propaganda proliferated by multiple sources of news and constantly repeated by a few here... this outcome has been obvious to anyone with half a brain for months. My assumption is that the left realizes that if it doesn't begin pivoting now that this situation will annihilate their chances of even cheating their way to victory in the next election. So of course, CNN is leading the way.

The Democrats have had nearly 100% compliance when it comes to supporting this foreign policy boondoggle. That means that virtually all of them have egg on their faces. But they are all basically rudderless tools so by the time the real electioneering begins next year they will be insisting that all of the death, destruction, massive waste of taxpayer funds, and the destruction of Western economies was the fault of Republicans and the right.

And they will point to the brainless neocons who will no doubt still be calling for more of the same and providing the Dems with cover.

Hopefully, the Republicans in Congress can use this leak from the Zelensky team to fashion a throwing good money after bad political argument to defeat the 60 billion dollar administration war funding request

Good point——Democrats stick together and have nearly 100% compliance supporting this Ukranian foreign policy boondoggle.....so by next year’s election, they will be insisting that the death, destruction, the massive waste of taxpayer funds, and the destruction of Western economies was actually the “fault” of Republicans, and those wild-eyed right-wingers.

“Considering nearly every agreement between Russia, the EU and the USA has been broken any agreement to end the war would have to have some pretty concrete guarantees between the warring parties.”

Looking at human history, there are no long term “concrete guarantees” between nations. Alliances shift, treaties are broken or sunsetted. Nations that survive act in their own self interest. When interests change, treaties and allies are abandoned and new alliances are formed.

The present government of the United States has turned on its own citizens. The US government has a history of abandoning agreements including the many atrocities associated with broken treaties signed with Native American tribes. In recent decades the US government has invaded multiple countries or topple regimes through covert activity in the name of installing democracy around the world. Yet at the same time it spies on its citizens, censors free speech, and fails to protect the homeland from invasion. Why would any nation today believe a treaty or alliance with the United States would be “concrete”.
