I think before a shot was fired you had to know that Ukraine wasn't going to win. They would be lucky not to lose the whole country. By shear size Russia was going to take at least what they have now. I'm nobody and I could see that.
But here's a question. Prior to the 2016 election we were friendly with Russia. Obama had Putin give Judo demonstrations at the White House. Had Clinton and the deep state not come up with the Russian interference lie against President Trump would Ukraine even be in this situation?
It seems to me that that the deep state bought its own BS. Considered Russia a far greater threat than they really were. Which made negotiations that may have averted a war impossible from the get go.
Further had we come up with an amicable deal with Russia before they lost lives. Would they have been so keen on jumping into bed with China and Iran? Without the cozy Russia relationship would Iran have given the green light for Hanas to launch their terrorist attack?

You have made very good observations and come to very astute and accurate conclusions. 100s of thousands of people have been killed and maimed; millions have been forced to flee for their lives; the future has been altered for the worse; and we are now closer to a catastrophic nuclear war than we were at any time in the past. And it is all due to lies, stupidity, and the most ham-handed foreign policy imaginable.
