Hundreds of people including young children and babies line the corridors of a Gaza City hospital, which the Israeli authorities have ordered to evacuate, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).
In footage released by the rescue service, youngsters as well as adults and elderly people are seen throughout the crowded building sat down or laying on mattresses, some with small piles of belongings or clothes hanging on doors.
There is no sign those sheltering inside al Quds hospital are following Israeli orders to evacuate, which were made in two calls on Sunday, according to the PRCS which said airstrikes have hit as close as 50 metres away.
A doctor from north London, who is working at al Shifa hospital, the largest medical complex in the Gaza Strip, also said there were no plans to evacuate.
"Nobody's left Shifa, nobody's leaving anywhere," Dr Ghassan Abu-Sittah told Sky News in a voice note.
"People have now realised with all the killing that's happened in the southern part and nobody wants to move."
He said medics are running out of basic supplies such as gauze and post-operation medications, including intravenous paracetamol.
"You keep thinking it's not going to get worse but it does get worse," he said following a communications blackout in the territory after bombing cut telephone and internet connections on Friday.
"We're now at 19,000 wounded, two days of no communication just meant the most basic thing of trying to find somebody, of calling somebody, of asking someone to come to the operating room became a nightmare.
"The ambulances would just head in the general direction of the bombing to see if they can find any of the victims."

Hamas refused to let civilians evacuate. Their deaths are on Hamas.
Hamas is pure evil.
If civilians in that hospital die in an Israeli attack, those outside who survive will listen the next time Israel warns them to evacuate.
They see themselves as “martyrs”. That’s why they’re willing to die for Allah.
Why do you assume Gazans have a choice?
Is it because hamas terrorists guarding the doors preventing the people human shields from leaving?
Exactly, they're not sheltering. They are being used as human shields by Hamas.
They use human shields because it works. It works because Israel cares more about Gaza citizens than Hamas does.
Israel has to ignore the human shields so they will no longer have as much value to Hamas.
The more pitiful civilians you see piled up anywhere in Gaza the more sure you can be of the terrorists that are in tunnels underneath it.
Is there any indication that there is anyone at the hospital who does not support hamass?
I would bet that 99% ... if not 100% ... know exactly what they are doing and why.
I say let them be martyred to their devil god.
On the cams I watched, it looked like they were just milling around. They can leave anytime they wanted. People are coming and going. On their own.
So WGAF?! Compare and contrast with Israeli children and elderly trying to escape Hamas butchers and who were subsequently tortured or butchered or burnt alive.
Perhaps if the Palestinians - perhaps - had put some effort into building up an infrastructure, a functioning modern society, instead of focusing all their material and efforts into murdering Jews... maybe, just maybe, they wouldn't be facing such a situation. They had since 2005 to make some progress, and while I realize that's barely a tick of the clock in the Middle East, they could have made an effort. And the Israelis would have helped.

Why in the hell is Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah a north London doctor instead of a shiitehole Gaza doctor ?

Jimmy Carter said they had a choice back when they voted for Hamas to be in charge. All the polling says that now, given a choice, a large majority of them would still choose Hamas. Most of their rest would probably choose even more radical groups, claiming Hamas is too civilized. And they've lived that choice, down to brainwashing their own children to want to kill Jews. Assign responsibility for ALL deaths in this conflict to the Gazan side of the ledger.
But they will for sure be killed if they try to do anything Hamas does not want them to do. Quite painfully along with their families.
Hamas comes into people's homes and searches their refrigerators for "Jewish food".
They are not well people.
