Dave Chappelle criticized Israel's bombing of Gaza at a performance in Boston in which the comedian accused the U.S. of aiding the slaughter of innocent civilians. In the show at TD Garden on Thursday, Chappelle first condemned the Oct. 7 attack on Israel by Hamas militants, but criticized what he said were war crimes in Gaza, according to people in attendance.
The comments came up when Chappelle said he didn't think students should lose job offers for supporting Palestinians. An audience member's command for the comedian to shut up drew an emotional response from Chappelle, who criticized the Israeli government for cutting off water and other essentials to Gaza and accused it of killing innocent people, according to the attendees.
Some audience members cheered Chappelle on and shouted "Free Palestine,” while others yelled, "What about Hamas," the attendees said. Some in the crowd got up and left. Toward the conclusion of his show, he said of Israeli policies and the Hamas attacks that two wrongs don't make a right, the people said.
A spokeswoman for Chappelle said he "denies being in Boston last night."

A spokeswoman for Chappelle said he “denies being in Boston last night.”
So he denies even being in the city?
That’s pretty funny right there.

Chappelle can be funny but you pick up when you listen to him he’s got a lot of chips on his shoulder. He’s funny but I tend to avoid him. Sort of like how I feel about Cosby these days. Saw Cosby twice live ages ago and the shows were great fun but I have no nostalgia to revisit his stuff for obvious reasons.
Chappelle is still funny. He’s a liberal. But he’s not woke. Sort of like Bill Maher. I don’t have a problem if you’re a liberal. We can get along just fine. If you’re woke. Now that’s a problem.
Like countless others, he thinks that Israel should just absorb 1300+ of their own citizens being murdered in the most horrific way and not retaliate at all. Then reward the terrorists with more money and a state of their very own.
Chappelle identifies as a Muslim.
Chappelle isn’t my cup of tea, and seems to be a leftist.
Cosby is a multiple rapist and likes them passed out. Hopefully Chappelle doesn’t get close to that!
Isn’t he a Muslim?
I don’t expect to agree with everything any comedian says. Believe me, I loved Carlin but he said some things that I really disagreed with.
Bill Maher is not in Chappelle’s league, not even close. Maher is a rat hack who on occasion drifts into the truth. His comedic “talent” is pretty week. Chappell is a top tier comedian with real chops. That said, Chappell knows it and can be pretty conceited at times.
Inner city blacks are no different than HAMAS !
Ugh week=weak.
Carlin made some good points but generally he was way out there.
Some of that “way out” stuff back then has pretty much come true, especially about “The Big Club”.
Chappelle’s delivery and timing is what makes him great.
He sees himself as an intellectual but I see him as a lightweight.
Two points:
1. Dave Chappelle is politically incorrect. That’s a good thing. Refreshing, actually.
2. Dave Chappelle is a Muslim. And most Muslims have an agenda. Not such a good thing.
Which point dominates here? I guess only Chappelle knows for sure.
Dave Chappelle is a liberal.
Plain and simple.
