I don’t expect to agree with everything any comedian says. Believe me, I loved Carlin but he said some things that I really disagreed with.
Carlin made some good points but generally he was way out there.
Comedians, musicians, and actors are, for the most part children. I appreciate their talent, especially musicians, but they're still children. Clapton grew out of it as he got older, and dealt with his own personal struggles.
John Lennon remains my favorite Beatle, though I recognize he was a miserable human being. OTOH, George Harrison was truly underrated.
I remember Clapton's concert in Fort Worth a couple of years ago. It was just music, no political comments about Covid, jabs, etc. When the reviewer of the Dallas Morning News wrote of his surprise that Clapton didn't make any political comments, I sent him an email: "Clapton knows his audience. We were there for the music, man."
