I think Trump has enough battles to fight. I find no fault in him going along with McDaniel at this time. There hasn't been a good RNC chair since the 80's.

Her job is to raise money for republican candidates. That’s all. You may infer other things but if she does the above, she keeps her job and deserves credit.

From what I have read in the past, the RNC has paid off a great deal of Trump’s legal fees.
So, for pragmatic reasons, Trump will support Ms McDaniels, or at least he won’t come out clearly against her.
