After stepping down from her role as chair of the Republican National Committee, Ronna McDaniel will join NBC News as a political analyst. In addition to providing commentary for NBC, McDaniel will also appear on MSNBC for coverage during the 2024 election season.

RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has resigned from her position leading the Republican party and her successors have already been named. As expected, Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, has been named as co-chair of the Republican National Committee. She replaces Drew McKissick, while North Carolina GOP chairman Michael Whately takes over for McDaniel. Ronna McDaniel said she will resign from her position as Republican National Committee chair days after Super Tuesday. "The RNC has historically undergone change once we have a nominee and it has always been my intention to honor that tradition," McDaniel said in her resignation announcement, ABC News reported Monday. "I remain committed to winning back the White House and electing Republicans up and down the ballot in November."
