CNN political commentator Van Jones said Thursday during the network’s special coverage of the indictment of Donald Trump that the former president was “masterful at getting half the country now to go along with this delusion that he has that somehow he’s the victim.”
Jones said, “In this some ways this is a normal persons worst nightmare and a narcissist’s dream to be martyred, you know, for his cause, for his people, to have to face the establishment. ‘I’m doing this for you,’ and he goes back and does a rally or something.”

These partisan political hacks are turning this place into a 3rd world country, prosecuting political opposition on trumped up charges. Trump didn’t convince me of it - they did!
They started this way back in 2015. And have been at it ever since. 2 bogus impeachments. Bogus “Russia” investigations they knew were fake. Selective prosecution of his aides and staff. They’ve been all over him since he dared to enter their arena.
It’s not just Trump who needs to worry. They are doing this to warn off any other upstarts and any challenges to their reign. And it puts a chill on political speech (which they had been doing surreptitiously by placing operatives on social media platforms).
