They are not going to play it like that. The Chinese government are protecting an energy source they need, and not tell the "sand people" how to run things as long as the oil keeps flowing.
It'll be interesting to see how Israel reacts.
I expect they'll be OK with it, because they too are preparing for a post USA world. Not because they want it, but because they can't stop it.

Yes. And I suspect that protection will come with more and more strings attached as the Chinese Navy gets stronger and the US Navy gets weaker.
(I know the US Navy dominates now. But perhaps much less so if we get a succession of Biden-like presidents.)
Also include the impact of the ChiCom social credit system and enslavement to government approval of all financial transactions.
We already have many US corporations that accepted ChiCom money backing in return for installing ESG and their social scoring system to put down dissident citizens.
