McDaniel doubles down on need for GOP loyalty pledge: ‘We all have to be united’

Republican National Committee (RNC) chairwoman Ronna McDaniel doubled down on the need for a GOP loyalty pledge on Thursday, arguing that the party has “to be united” in 2024.

“It’s the Republican Party nomination and the pledge is staying,” McDaniel said when pressed by “Fox News Tonight” guest host Kayleigh McEnany. “Anybody who wants to seek the nomination of our party should pledge to support the voters. If you go through this process and you take time on the debate stage and you’re going to be there, the number one pledge should be, beat Biden.”

“It’s called the “Beat Biden Pledge” for a reason because at the end of the day, we all have to be united in one thing,” she added.

I don’t pay much attention to Trump when it comes to these
comments. I can see why folks hate them, but I still think
he’s the best guy for the job.

Ron had been down there with a Conservative legislature,
and he’s going to find out how merciless the Media is, if
he thinks Trump is bad.

like McConnell supported the Republican party candidate in Alaska, like Murkowski supported the party candidate in Alaska like the GOP censured either one of them for subverting the Republican primary winner in Alaska. either it’s a party or an insiders club. which is it madam chairwomen?

DeSantis is not a RINO. Look at his successful record in Florida. If anything, he is a cultural conservative, not an ideologue, but is tackling things I think most of us on FR agree with. He’s more conservative than Trump on abortion, on DEI, Woke, etc.

As to not perjure oneself it is advised to not:

Proverbs 22:26-27 — Be not one of those who give pledges, who put up security for debts.

The Apostle has used oaths in his Epistles, and by this shows us how that ought to be taken, I say unto you, Swear not at all, namely, lest by allowing ourselves to swear at all we come to readiness in swearing, from readiness we come to a habit of swearing, and from a habit of swearing we fall into perjury.

But I say unto you, Swear not at all;
neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:

— Matthew 5:34

Under the tutelage of the 3MCs, the Republican party is in it’s final stage of grift. It will all be over soon.

For once I agree with her. Yes, they all need to unite around Trump and the MAGA movement, and the never-Trumpers should be shamed for being divisive and told to get back in line. Great suggestion Ronna.

In some cases, it is the same people repeating that behavior now as they linger with Trump while we all are moving on to DeSantis and others.

“We all?” Do you have a mouse in your pocket? Seen any polls lately? “We all”…Wow.

To be fair, she really has no choice but to insist on this loyalty pledge. Without it, there’s not much of a reason to have an RNC in the first place.

Ron had been down there with a Conservative legislature, and he’s going to find out how merciless the Media is, if he thinks Trump is bad.

The notion that if we just get rid of Trump then the “drama” will go away and Republicans can get back to business as usual, unharrassed by dems, the deep state, and the media, is laughable. It’s as delusional as believing that “electing” Biden would restore “democracy” and stability to the country because “the adults are back in charge.”

What those who find Trump distasteful refuse to acknowledge is that we are in an all-out war for the fate of this nation, and trying to placate delicate sensibilities is not a luxury we can afford right now. Business as usual, head in the sand, go along to get along won’t get it done. That’s the path to final and unrecoverable ruin. We don’t need a career bureaucrat, we need a field general, a Patton. And then we need a people who won’t turn all wobbly when bold action is required and the war gets “messy.” An absence of “drama” is a sure sign that you’ve already been defeated. Cemeteries are very calm, peaceful places.

100%

Trump ripped the scab off and with that the fight for our nation is in progress. Most don't seem up to the challenge, and prefer instead to discuss absurd notions like "who is the true conservative" as if we have electoral choices post 2020.

the Majority of Patriots want the GOP tried and hanged
for treason, and after decimation of the rest,
she and her uncle if left, should be tried for
theft of donations sent to Pres. Trump.

McDaniel is a traitor, and thief.

Of course you would agree with a RINO like Ronna McDaniel because you support a RINO that will ban assault weapons, enact federal protection for abortion and who will turn a blind eye to the groomers.

When your RINO candidate pledges FIRST to support the nominee should he lose, then you can try to invoke some loyalty pledge. Until then, it is another strongarm tactic from someone who believes he is entitled to the nomination with no opposition nor debate.

“I supported Trump, donated to him....Why should DeSantis be now asked to promise loyalty to such a disrespectful, irratic, and self-centered person as Trump has become?”

When did you support Trump? Perhaps when he had a TV show decades back?

Anyone who’s supported Trump since late 2015 knew he was ‘irratic’ and ‘self-centered’...AT THAT TIME - he’s never changed, and we accepted that as Trump being Trump, and Trump not taking crap from anyone.

So I doubt you ever supported Trump...but we understand why you claim that you did.

DeSantis has more conservative accomplishments than trump could dream of getting. Not that trump is conservative especially on social issues. What DeSantis has done in Florida with social issues is miraculous and due to him, has spread across the country.
