“There are people in public life that are kind of check the box politicians, and then there are others they want to serve, and Governor DeSantis is one of those,” the former Florida governor said during a Fox Nation special on DeSantis, who has yet to jump into the 2024 presidential ring.
Bush talked about his father, George H.W. Bush, and DeSantis, as both served as the captains of the Yale baseball team. Interviewer Brian Kilmeade noted DeSantis has identified Bush Sr. as someone he looks up to and also asked Bush about how he thought DeSantis responded to criticisms early on during the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, according to clips from the interview.
“They were trying to set him up, and he knew it. And he punched him in the nose,” Bush said, praising DeSantis’s overall response to various crises.
He gets an A for sure,” Bush said, pointing to how the governor responded to Hurricane Ian.
“The fact that he could announce that, for example, the bridge to Sanibel Island, which could be built in record time and open within 10 days I think, is pretty remarkable,” Bush, whom Trump deemed “Low Energy” during the presidential race in 2016, said.
DeSantis has not announced an intention of running in 2024, but speculation continues to arise. When asked if it is DeSantis’s opportunity to run for higher office, Bush offered a sterling stamp of approval.

They’ll be behind DeSantis, until they aren’t, they are using him to get to Trump.
I suspect DeSantis understands this.
I’m not worried about DeSantis or his fate.
He just made Trump’s candidacy that much stronger
If that’s so, why did Jeb praise Ron over the stadium-sized crowd aching to get in the race? I’ll pretend it’s just because they’re Floridians.
Jeb is a power freak that was crushed like a bug.
Bush was a Rinocrat.
They are supporting Ron because he doesn’t have any “politics.” He’s flat broke (relatively speaking), has never worked outside government, and will therefore do whatever he is told by the GOP establishment.
Says Mr. “Please Clap.”
This is the KOD.
“Poll after poll continues to show Trump leading his potential 2024 challengers, including DeSantis, by double digi”
Polls this early are useful as toilet paper.
“DeSantis could be working with trump locking up Florida walking into the wh in 28 but it’s DeSantis’s choice to not do that”
Or Trump could be working with DeSantis to Solidify conservatives and praise the work he has done in Florida instead of lying about him.

Leftists use hatred and emotion when the disagree with people.
They have a view that others have to share as truth. When others don’t share their truth, ridicule takes over. They firmly believe the others whom they must convince feel the same way, that one view must prevail, so tge argument turns into who is most nasty, best at hatred, who can get the mob to join.
From the start, it’s not an argument. There is no belief here. It’s not the religion that the guy believes it is.
It’s a matter of what happened. Neither person knows what happened nor what will happen.
I don’t care about any of that. I don’t care if anyone sees it the way I see it. I’m guessing. I do not hink anyone should give a care what I say. I’m just saying what I think could be what happened
Something happened. There was an interaction among Trumps people and DeSantis’s. The way it looks to me, knowing what little I know about it, is Trump wants DeSantis on board. Trump is a Wharton educated businessman. The few Wharton people I know are people who think so far ahead they make Super Bowl football coaches look like students. One in particular was a guy who, in high school, pre Wharton, if anyone tried to play monopoly with him, within short time there was inevitably a pile of little plastic pieces on top of a pile of Monopoly money he was never going to have to use again
Trump successfully rebuilt many old buildings in NYC thinking ahaed, using his business mentality to gather teams of experts. He applies his expertise in working with people. He does that in tge political sphere. He has said clearly that the tough people he dealt with in business in NY and around the world were not unpredictable as the people in Washington are.
Trump got NATO. To pay their dues, collecting billions of our money. Having lived and worked around NATO for years myself, I know tgat was a task that took a way above average expertise in getting back what is owed from people. I pay a third of what I earn to this government. I was very happy to see others do as I do and pay what they owe to our government.
When he gave DeSantis his endorsement he would have made it clear, here is what I expect in return. But above board. On the table. Take this deal or don’t take it. Some people believe it’s a point about Trump in which they’re at liberty to hate him. I do not.
I imagine, from what I know, and what I have seen in this interaction, tgat Trump went to collect DeSantis’s endorsement. The valuable governor of Floridas endorsement and was met with a ‘hang it on the wall’
Of course DeSantis is allowed to do tgat. I think it’s a bad political move. I imagine he is not alone. A guy doesn’t go up against tge most successful campaign in modern history with a governors salary backed by some military work. Running for president takes serious backing
People who say DeSantis hasn’t announced yet and can do this are correct but DeSantis’s problem is he and whoever is coaching him are pretending he can join Trump at some point. No. He can’t. His opportunity is gone. He has to now run for president and win or be governor at most.
DeSantis will never win a presidential race against Trump in 2024. Therefore it is a mistake. This is an underestimating Trump mistake. I also add in that DeSantis owes Trump an endorsement that he’s not paying.
I don’t look at what people say or as in DeSantis’s case what they don’t say. I look at their actions
I also do listen to what Trump says As a person raised by a big businessman who grew up in Queens myself, I listen to him with a natural filter for tuning out exaggerations as part of the Queens vernacular. I listen to him I know he is honest. He said DeSantis let him down. Trump works for us -the US- in the venture. I tske that to mean DeSantis is not on board with us
This a glimpse of what I put into an opinion I make
No amount of nasty ridicule will change it because it is based on truths I have gathered. State some truth to counter it and say it politely and with respect and I will be glad to consider whether I care enough to listen but I am very busy doing things
I am never nasty in stating what I see events to be. There would never be a reason for it. Either Trump is lying or he isnt. I have never seen him lie. DeSantis has said nothing. People I know find that dignified. My experience tells me that’s sneaky and passive aggressive. It’s not mean of me that I see it that way. The way I see it it’s mean of DeSantis to be that way.
You have your view. And others have theirs.
Kiss of death.
‘Kiss of death’
That was what I meant to put across.
I guess some people think the Bushes have power, including them. Their Cheney girl lost by like 40 %. What’s his name bush here in texas could get elected dog catcher last cycle. RDS is making a bad bet
He chose poorly.
Thanks Jebbie for letting everyone know who DeSantis really is!
You couldn’t have done a more valuable service to America.
Yeb! peeling back the mask. Lofl!
I keep hoping and praying that President Trump and Governor DeSantis will come to an agreement that it will be Trump in 2024 and DeSantis in 2028.
And I urge President Trump to start bashing/trashing Democrats!
We need Trump 47 for many, many reasons, and he can pave the way for 8 years of DeSantis!
