More people moved to Florida than any other state in the country in 2022, according to a new report from the National Association of Realtors.

The Sunshine State saw the highest net domestic migration gains last year, with its population growing by 1.9 percent. It was followed by Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, respectively, with regard to domestic net migration totals.

Overall, twenty-six states had more people move into their regions than out.

For the past six years, the moving rate in the United States has declined, with the rate reaching a historic low in 2021.

I have been looking into Cincinnati or moving out west. Cincinnati is petty cheap compared to Chicago.

As long as they keep moving out of California. We don’t have enough water and infrastructure.

....it is quite interesting that we are seeing more and more California license plates here in the central Texas area than we ever used to....but in all truth, virtually all of the Cali-refugees we have met here are solidly conservative, unlike the supposed stereotype of the liberal CA resident who moves here and then says, Why can’t Texas be more like California...??

Please don’t move to N GA. Its already getting too crowded from the white flight out of Atlanta.

Sunshine, stand your ground, low taxes, and GOP rule. What is there not to like about Florida?

More conservatives are coming ... we’re outnumbering democrats in the state now. Win-Win.

Actually, I’m pretty darn impressed with who’s coming into Florida. We have increased the Republican rolls huge.

It would be nice to see if they could do one of these studies and include voting registrations for those who are leaving.

That is the tell. Who the hell cares how many are moving, really? As long as those that are, or at least most, are not moving to destroy the next place with their liberal ideology and voting habits.

Pull ‘em over, send them to court and see if they can validate or established permanent residency.

All depends on who the NYers are.

There are quite a few police officers and deputy sheriff’s in Florida, right now, that used to be employed by the NYPD, with more on the way. And it’s unlikely many of them are voting Democrat as it was the Democrats that made them leave.

What’s sad would be Gov. Newsom getting the rat nomination as a new, pretty face with gel in the hair. What do I mean? If he gets it our nominee should be DeSantis. 2 young governors for the perfect contrast. Trump would end up looking old like Biden.

Yeah, but Trump would have more decisive things than DeSantis, like juvenile names to call Newsom and bigger pep rallies.

It must be because the governor is “a deep state stooge.”

Our sheriff just hired a new deputy from Atlanta, who received a $5,000 bonus from the state for signing up.

More and more people coming here where it seem as crowded as California. I liked the lower population of 20 years ago. I used to enjoy driving. Not there is nothing but nutcases and road rage when i drive.

What would anyone move to Florida?

The governor is a RINO who locked down the state during Covid and once said something nice about Paul Ryan.

I read it on Truth Social.

"....virtually all of the Cali-refugees we have met here are solidly conservative, unlike the supposed stereotype of the liberal CA resident...."

This sort of thing gets said a lot -- "My new neighbor who just moved here from [California, New York, Illinois, or whatever liberal state] is a true conservative! I was shocked!" -- but it's just nothing more than selection bias. If you live in a decent area, then chances are the type of people who move into your area are decent too.

For now.

Areas do change, and these days they almost never change for the better.

If you go to Austin and check out the astronomical number of California license plates there & ask the native Austinites (Austinians?) what THEY think of the new arrivals they'll surely tell you how fantastic it is that so many new liberals are arriving in Texas daily and transforming the state from blue (proper color usage) to purple.

Who is right? Well, lets see:

Texas election results

At the presidential level, in the early 2000s the state was 10-12% more Republican than the national average even when there wasn't a "Bush" on the ticket. In 2016 and 2020 Texas was only 5 or 6% more Republican than the national average. The same declining pattern applies to other statewide elections in Texas, so it's not just a "Trump effect" -- and that's even with rural Hispanics supposedly moving TOWARD the GOP.

So who is causing the decline? Blacks? Nah, they're already as far left as possible. Urban Hispanics? Ditto. The answer, to a significant extent, is white invaders from other states like California. Especially California.
