It’s only half the story.

This exceprt omits that he had large knife (butcher knife?) that he used to stab someone and was trying to throw it at police. Not such a clearcut issue.

I guess shooting him the leg was not an option
To: EvilCapitalist
If the double amputee was already dead, why did the cops shoot him? I'm stumped for an answer.

Another career criminal that is about to be elevated to sainthood by “the community”.
Hide the Nikes, the booze and the big screen televisions, because “justice” is coming.

The family told The LA Times that he lost the lower half of his legs recently following a different altercation with police in Texas. Yes?

Everything you said is correct. As a police officer, you just don’t chase down a double amputee like that and shot him dead. That was an execution. Anybody that has seen that video may be rethinking their opposition to “defund the police”. I’m open to bringing back “cruel and unusual” punishment...for the officers.

I would have thought the Texas cops were better shots.

It’s not like they couldn’t just wait for the guy to tumble onto the ground. Weebles wobble and all that.
And a butchers knife looks dangerous, but it’s not exactly a throwing knife.
To: marktwain
True. But still I hope the cops go to jail a long time. They seem to have a trigger finger syndrome that needs rectified immediately.

The Daily Mail always uses “shootdead” as a transitive verb.

Clearly, he didn’t have a leg to stand on.
