In August, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell told NBC News he was confident Republicans could take the House. As for the Senate . . . “Senate races are just different,” he said. “They’re statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome.”
He was absolutely right, of course. Candidate quality gave Democrats control of the Senate again, and forced a runoff in Georgia.
In Arizona, for one, McConnell had wanted popular Gov. Doug Ducey to run. But ex-President Donald Trump had slandered Ducey, vowing to oppose him every step of the way because he had refused to illegally overturn the results of the 2020 election. So the GOP got Blake Masters, who just lost to Democrat Mark Kelly.
And Trump blames . . . Mitch McConnell.

First let me explain Trump and what the left is doing...you are helping the enemy. They desperately need to separate Trump from his support. How easy will that be? It’s already started.
Donald J Trump. A man with a hi IQ. They think different. The gift that propels them is misunderstood by many. They think beyond.. they work ahead.. they have to remind themselves not everyone is there yet.
He is a business man and in past years he has built a fortune ..among NY elite, and some fought this brash young man. But he had the ability and used it to buy, sell and build an empire. He is used to being criticized for his abilities...he was on the move.
All the time he was advancing.. he helped anyone who needed it. He was a figure on his way.. it was natural to him to work hard and succeed.. there was no time to fail.. just pick up and keep on.
There were court battles.. he didn’t live worried or anxious.. he lived determined. He had the fighting him and it came in handy.
Trump had high expectations from men in the business world. He also had deep feelings of compassion for the people of less success. He ‘had much’ and gave much. His outgoing.. more than life..personality irritated some and enthused others.
His life was not about him.. it was about using the abundant abilities in his head for all the things it produced if ya just work hard..and long hours.
When in his 70s he left a comfy life.. it was to serve others. He had much, he loved this country and he was willing to serve. Always ahead of himself, the elite who thought they were the only ones allowed to be masters..did not like Trump’s fast moving know how and considered him brash. Yes, brash but comfortable with the people.. the secret to that is.. he cared.. he cares.
I stop here.. it’s lengthy.. but I will add.. wherever Trump goes.. leaders follow him.. they are drawn to this personality... they admire him.... Trump is not intimidated by anyone.. he is capable of dealing with the enemy and earn respect.
What you see and gripe about.. is what makes him our best asset in a world of power struggles all over. Trump knows.. he gets it.. and he is risking it all ...using his abilities to keep our Republic free and successful..
A Republic.. if you can keep it!

IMHO, most Federal and State GOP office holders have proven to be "All hat and no cattle", and they will turn on and/or attack their own constituents (i.e. Cornyn, Cheney) when forced into acting against the government organ they were elected oversee on behalf of said constituents.

We know beyond the shadow of a doubt that Donald John Trump loves this nation. He had no reason to get involved in trying to save this nation. He had far more to lose than to gain by getting involved. Yet he did get involved because he was tired of seeing these people destroy this nation.
In return, people such as yourself pay that back with criticizing him for trying to do what is right because you do not have the brains to see what the heck is really going on here.
You think DeSantis is the savior, though we have no clue what his true motivations are. If they are sincere, then they will just do the same to him as they have Trump. If not, then he is not the savior you believe him to be. He becomes not only a liar, for he has stated many times that he will not run against Trump, which then exposes him as a fraud who is only trying to get on the inside of the power circle to enrich himself and his family.

No. The Tower of Pisa might lean right, but the Post? No longer. It's been more and more obvious over the election weeks. They have been emphasizing anti-Trump articles, articles that embarrass Trump (or so they think), articles that leave a taint of disapproval about Trump-endorsed candidates, etc. The Times has been leftist trash for decades upon decades. It is absolutely banned in my home.
If Trump would have laid low until after the midterms, especially in light of the Dobbs decision, we might not be having this conversation. Yes, endorse your candidates and talk about THEM, but every endorsement he made about himself. Couple that with his own rallies and yes, he made himself a factor. And before I get accused of being a never Trumper I voted for him 3 times, did the rallies including road rallies, flew all the flags and signs and heaven knows gave more money than I had to his campaign.
