Don’t believe Trump — this midterm miss is all because of him
NY Post ^ | 11/14/2022 | Post Editorial Board

In August, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell told NBC News he was confident Republicans could take the House. As for the Senate . . . “Senate races are just different,” he said. “They’re statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome.”

He was absolutely right, of course. Candidate quality gave Democrats control of the Senate again, and forced a runoff in Georgia.

In Arizona, for one, McConnell had wanted popular Gov. Doug Ducey to run. But ex-President Donald Trump had slandered Ducey, vowing to oppose him every step of the way because he had refused to illegally overturn the results of the 2020 election. So the GOP got Blake Masters, who just lost to Democrat Mark Kelly.

And Trump blames . . . Mitch McConnell.

The most egregious part of this article:

"You know who didn’t spend a lot of money? Donald Trump. Sitting on a warchest of $92 million, he spent just 22% of it on the midterms nationwide.

Trump allowed Masters to send out a fundraising message to the former president’s donor list in late October. The split? For every dollar donated, 99 cents would go to Trump, 1 cent to Masters."

It is so obvious. The Dem fraud machine was told to let Ron win so he would look like the new power in the GOP? I would suggest it is so corrupt now that the Dem fraud machine actaully helped DeSantis win.

Yes, it was Trump. And McConnell too.

Anyone who doesn’t believe Trump played a role in this defeat has their head in the sand.

Both need to go…

Exactly. All Republicans had to do was nominate a normal, Pennsylvania resident for the Senate spot and they would have beat Fetterman. But nope, Trump had to endorse his old rich buddy Dr. Oz. Another loss.

Murdock and his New York Post have a major case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Oh yeah, Murdock’s other media, FOX, is also having a bad case of TDS.

“”You know who didn’t spend a lot of money? Donald Trump. Sitting on a warchest of $92 million, he spent just 22% of it on the midterms nationwide.”

I thought Trump was a private citizen? Who paid for all those campaign rallies Trump attended? How much did the RNC invest in candidates for the midterms?

I’m tired of all this crap. The RNC was like this way before Trump decided to go into politics. Only difference I saw from demographics voting is that Roe was the dog whistle for single women everywhere. Their vote put many of these Democrats over the top.

I loved Trump at the beginning, but he’s made the Party all about himself and he has to go. Only when he loses in 2024 will we be free of him and he can go back to his cocktail parties with Hillary and Jesse Jackson and Sharpton, which is how he spent his days prior to conning half the country that he is a Republican.

Sorry but this article and its defense of McConnell is not persuasive.

They actually defend him criticizing his own party’s candidates 6 weeks before the election?

The Democrat candidates suck. That’s not the issue.

GOP Wise Up: Midterm Elections Reveal Critical Difference Between “Ballots” and “Votes”

https://waynedupree.com/2022/11/ballots-and-votes-midterm-election/

Back in 2018, I saw something happen that scared the crap out of me: Ballot Harvesting. It happened in California. Republicans were ahead in so many House races when I went to bed, and by the time I woke up the next morning, they had all lost. I was horrified and scared to death. I wrote a piece on “Ballot Harvesting,” and I warned everyone that this was a “trial run” and Dems would be using this tactic in the future… and two years later, thanks to the COVID pandemic that just happened to hit us at the “perfect time,” Dems were using “ballot harvesting” to install a decrepit, old, nasty buffoon into the White House.

And it all went down the same way that it did in California. People went to bed thinking Trump had won, and then overnight, everything changed.

I have said all along, Dems will do ANYTHING to hold onto power. Anything. And this Ballot Harvesting is a winner for them. It’s changed the game, actually.

Right now, so many clueless idiots are blaming President Trump for “underperforming” in the midterms, and I will admit, I was so bummed early in the morning yesterday, but my late morning, I was already over it, and looking at what happened without hyper-emotion. We actually did pretty damn well, considering the state of this county and the political polarization we’re dealing with. Was there a nationwide “red wave,” no. But that’s not Trump’s fault. It’s the ballots…
