Less than two weeks before Election Day, Republicans lead in the closely watched midterm races for governor and U.S. Senator in Georgia.
A new telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports and “The Absolute Truth” with Emerald Robinson finds that, if the Senate election were held today, 48% of Georgia Likely Voters would vote for the Republican, Herschel Walker, while 43% would vote to reelect the Democrat, Sen. Raphael Warnock. Four percent (4%) say they’d vote for some other candidate, while another four percent (4%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Since when was Kemp a republican?
Where are the folks who said that Walker was a bad choice?
I hope Abrams wins via a mail in ballot scam. Fingers crossed
If no candidate gets to 50% in GA, there will be a runoff on Dec. 6.
From what I’ve read, any registered voter can vote in the runoff, whether or not they voted in the general election.
Not known (by me) is whether new voters can register after the general election and vote in the runoff. In 2020 the Dems registered around 10,000 new voters in Nov. after the general election and they were allowed to vote in the Jan 5 2021 special election.
BOOM
No matter unless he gets over 50%. Without that, we vote again on December 6th.
About as sensical as calling a show hosted by Brian Stelter "Reliable Sources."
Nonetheless, the poll is good news.
Yes, any registered voter can vote in December if there is a runoff but the law governing runoffs was changed after the last debacle. That runoff went into January so there was more than 30 days between elections allowing for more registrations. This year the runoff time has been shortened to less than 30 days so GA law requires voter registration to close 30 days before an election. That may preclude any new registrations.
What makes Walker a good choice? Other than apparently being one of the few pro-choice Republican candidates out there?
He's MAGA friendly. He's beating the communist by 5 points.
Kemp and desantis were two of the best governors during COVID. Made places open.
Hopefully this will put a steak through Abrams political aspirations and begin the process of retaking Georgia.

Thanks for the info, makes me feel better.
There was another poll a few days ago that put Walker at 49% (actually 48.9%). It’s possible if the undecided break 50-50 that Walker will hit 50% and we can avoid a runoff. Also possible that more Republicans will ‘come home’ on Walker and push him over 50%.

According to the GA SOS, there are two separate registration deadlines, one for state and local races, the other for federal. So, for a Kemp/Jabba runoff, the deadline was 11 October. For a Walker/Warnock runoff, the deadline is 7 November.
In short, in neither case can a voter register AFTER the general, but before the runoff and yet vote in the runoff election, *IF* the law is being followed.
Whether the SOS will allow the Rats to do so again, is anyone’s guess.
That's all it takes, huh?
Rich Baris just on Bannon says this is line with his polls. UGA has Walker up 4%. Walker is leading with Hispanics.

can raffensperger’s coat tails still get out the chinese vote?
I’m afraid that even though Walker might be ahead of Warnock on November 8, Walker will lose because he won’t get 50% and Warnock will beat Walker in the runoff.
