WASHINGTON — Earlier this month, when Sen. Bernie Sanders said he would not challenge President Joe Biden in 2024, Biden was so relieved he invited his former rival to dinner at the White House the next night.
Biden has been eager for signs of loyalty — and they have been few and far between. Facing intensifying skepticism about his capacity to run for reelection when he will be nearly 82, the president and his top aides have been stung by the questions about his plans, irritated at what they see as a lack of respect from their party and the press, and determined to tamp down suggestions that he is effectively a lame duck a year and a half into his administration.
Biden isn’t just intending to run, his aides argue, but he’s also laying the groundwork by building resources at the Democratic National Committee, restocking his operation in battleground states and looking to use his influence to shape the nomination process in his favor.
This account of Biden’s preparation for reelection and his building frustration with his party’s doubt is based on interviews with numerous people who talk regularly to the president. Most spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations. But several said the president and his inner circle were confounded by Democrats’ discussions about a Plan B when the one person who has defeated Donald Trump has made clear he intends to run again.

Harris has the amazing distinction of being even more cringe than Biden. I guess they could go with the queer, but I don’t think that will do any better this time than it went last time. They don’t have a bench.

In less than a year from now, the media will be blaring the propaganda line about Biden ‘the Comeback Kid’, about his miraculous recovery in the polls, about how his doubting party is once again rallying around him to save the country from the nefarious republican onslaught.

After they lose control of Congress in November, Democrats will go to Biden and tell him not to run for re-election.
It will be portrayed as “the right thing to do, given Biden’s age”
Then, Democrats will urge Republicans to do the same with Trump based on his age.

The only ones encouraging him are those who are currently really making the decisions. They all have to be aware of his limited capabilities, especially his mistress/wife.

The cheaters and lack of enthusiasm for RINOs will ensure that this election will be anything but a beating for JRB, Jr. I predict a narrow GOP win for the House, and I will be pleasantly surprised if they take the Senate.
It is presumption for even a healthy young person to forecast where they will be in ‘24. Joe is not a healthy young person. His long term plan should be getting through dinner time.
