“Weaver turned himself in 11 days later and was charged with killing Degan, but a jury indicted him.
He ultimately served 16 months in jail for the original gun charge but following the horror that shook Ruby Ridge, where the family lived, stayed with Weaver until his dying day.”
Nice editing job. :-)

I hope G. P. Rodriguez does well when he finishes his freshman HS class in expository writing.

What is the justification for killing people who are unarmed, just standing or walking outside?
Our government is doing things we used to say Saddam and Stalin were wrong to do.

Gun charge. Every time I see that I get ticked off. All weapons should be legal per the 2nd Amendment. Period. Ruby Ridge is the case study that provides the reason for the 2nd Amendment. The FBI and Government needs to be kept in check. The ONLY way to do that is to make them afraid of us.
Tyranny is when the people fear government. Freedom is when the government fears the people. Which do we have right now?

i must say, to shoot a mother with babe in arms. now that’s takes “just following orders” to a new level of psychopathology.

Head-shotting an unarmed woman with an infant in her arms is just unfathomable as to how that becomes rational and acceptable in that shooters mind. Beyond grotesque, and he was a Government Agent.

Ruby Ridge, Waco, Alien Gonzalez etc.
The Clintons were corrupt then and so was the FBI and DoJ.

What started that whole GD thing was the feds wanted him to run undercover as an informant against the militia groups up there.
They wanted him to sell them an illegal firearm so they could move in on that group. Weaver asked them-it was a shotgun if I remember right, where to cut to barrel to make it illegal.

“Weaver’s wife, Vicki, was shot in the head by an FBI sniper”
Say his name. Lon Horiuchi.
“Weaver turned himself in 11 days later and was charged with killing Degan, but a jury indicted him.”
I think they mean to say a jury acquitted him.

RIP, Mr. Weaver. I met him at a gun show many years back when I was still in SoCal. Seemed like a very calm and collected gent, all things considered.
