New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) called for a “national response” to rising violence following a subway shooting that wounded over a dozen people on Tuesday.

Adams told CNN’s Dana Bash in an interview that increased violence is an issue affecting the entire country and said that while officials have recovered more than 1,800 guns in the last three and a half months, the city needed some assistance.

“We’re going to continue to do our job, but there is some assistance that’s going to be needed in our city, such as an empowering ATF,” the mayor said, referring to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

I have to laugh at the NYC Mayor who lived in an apartment house in New Jersey during his run for Mayor of NYC..

I was born an raised in Brooklyn, NY until I was 13. My family moved to Staten Island soon after I was 13. I can tell you that during my teen years if you lived in Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island or the Bronx that is where you said you lived not NYC. If you were going to Manhattan and somebody asked you where you were going without exception you would say I am going to the city.

So as a real New Yorker, geographically challenged like any Brooklyn, Staten Island, Bronx or Queens resident, I can tell you this attack happened in Brooklyn not NYC.

Ok - national concealed carry law.

Dork. Why not fix the board in your city before complaining about the splinter in someone else’s?

Said idiot mayors don't just fall into office at random. They're voted in by the majority of the electorate. The problem with NYC isn't jackass Adams it's the New York morons who voted for him

New York City voter turnout is usually below 30% of those who even bothered to register. Knowing they don't purge the voter rolls, the percentage is likely below 20% but they don't want that truth out there.

No one bothers to vote in the general election in such blue cities. The United States doesn't have a legitimate candidate voting system; at best voters choose the lesser of two evils. We really need "none of the above" selection added to force political parties to find someone half decent.

what are the odds that when they catch the perpetrator, that he has a well established rap sheet?

I would say they are pretty slim, but $20 says he has an FBI Badge and ID

National response?

They're going to catch this guy and find out he has a litany of crimes in his record but that the New York City prosecutor let him loose under the guise of "bail reform".

The only national response needs to be forcing New York to remove their unconstitutional laws infringing on citizens' inalienable right to keep and bear arms.

National response?

I saw a movie several decades ago about the national response to NYC crime. It seemed to work well usually.

Someone needs to check to see if Colin Ferguson, the racist Long Island Railroad black mass murderer from 1993, is still in prison.

How about a NYC response?

Never happen. Adams is a token who rose up by being lifted up because he’s black.

He’s a complete meathead. NYC will continue to slide into shitiness as it did under Wilhelm the Underwhelming.

He wasn’t, but if you saw the freakshow that was running, it may be remotely understandable why he “won”.

Have the people of New York City learned yet that their mayor is a corrupt retard?

Are they even capable of learning?

Actually he has a point. The ATF ought to go after gang-bangers in particular.

That would require them to actually do something that's dangerous though, so they won't.

I would say sheep are not necessarily capable of learning, but I wouldn’t want to denigrate sheep, and they aren’t as smart as sheep.

Not voting is the same as endorsing the evil. The problem is still New Yorkers. If New Yorkers were half as smart as they think they are they’d still be about 5 times smarter than they are.

YOUR crime, YOU fix it! What’s this “national” garbage? “National” people didn’t commit the crime-—someone local did.
