John Lennon’s son Julian Lennon this weekend performed his late father’s iconic song “Imagine” for the first time to benefit Ukraine.
The eldest Lennon performed the song as part of the Global Citizen’s social media rally, Stand Up For Ukraine. The performance ended the 59-year-old’s previous vow to never perform his dad’s famous work, according to USA Today.
Lennon explained his decision in a YouTube post, saying the “unimaginable tragedy” going on in Ukraine compelled him to respond “in the most significant way I could.”

I appreciate the sentiment. But I particularly hate that song. I always did.

"In the most significant way he could."
May as well have put up a sign that said "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here."

Heard it this morning on Breakfast With The Beatles. Wasn’t that good. Plus the song doesn’t do much for the situation in Ukraine but it sure makes one feel emotional! That and $2+ bucks will get you a cup of coffee. ‘Imagine there’s no country’. Do you think the Ukraine folks think that?

He’s a spitting image of his dad but what’s interesting, he is conservative and doesn’t like the wokism.

“Imagine nor religion”
Guess that’s the cause Zelensky is asking Ukrainians to give their lives for.

((The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion, or satire. Or both.))
Finally! Where would we be without the Communist Manifesto in song? And this is supposed to be pro-Ukraine? lol.

The genocide in Rwanda was nothing compared to Ukraine? I guess it takes white villains to unite the loony left-right blob.

He’s a spitting image of his dad but what’s interesting, he is conservative and doesn’t like the wokism. I’ve heard that about John’s other, younger, son, Sean, but not about Julian.

I can’t stand that song. When it first came out they played it on the radio as the second coming of John Lennon. Hated it then and now.

Totally inappropriate song for the situation in the Ukraine.
“Imagine there’s no countries...
nothing to kill or die for...”
etc.
Not a very inspiring lyric for prople who are killing and dying FOR their Country.
Horrible.
