Politico argued on Monday that President’s Day should be canceled for including former President Donald Trump in the holiday.
In an article titled, “It’s Time To Cancel Presidents Day,” the publication made the case that President’s Day is not woke enough, and that it “does a disservice to history” and “is less a show of genuine respect for American history than an insult to it.”

I know our nation is based on free speech but when the speech is basically just cancel culture and bent on destroying us—-transformation— when is it too far?
Should actions start being taken to counter such speech?
I’d be fine with just splitting it back into Washington’s Birthday and Lincoln’s Birthday, like it was when I was a kid.

Yes. Once we start fiddling with traditions, pretty soon it's open season. And now another way to try to shame President Trump (and his supporters) comes up. One more travesty.
You are right - as kids, we had off from school on Washington’s Birthday on 22 Feb and Lincoln’s Birthday on February 12th. The nonsense of celebrating this day as “President’s Day”, always on a Monday, and replacing Washington’s and Lincoln’s Birthdays, came about to promote another three day holiday for the resort industry. As a consequence, we are reduced to celebrating incompetents like Jimmy Carter or a demented senile Usurper like Joe Biden. I will stick with Washington, Lincoln, Reagan, Trump and Truman.
It’s Washington’s Birthday.
But in keeping with the spirit Politico, perhaps the Woken should boycott Flag Day, since that also happens to be President Trump’s birthday. Not that they’d likely be doing much flag waving in any case.
While we are at it, let’s cancel:
Black History Month
Women’s History Month
Gay Pride Month
Kwanzaa
Cinco de Mayo
Juneteenth
and the list goes on and on and on...
They might consider it by the time Biden is through in 3 more years, but because of Biden, not Trump. It turns out that politico is a left leaning democratic front, not a news source.

The word “journalist” should be canceled because some at Polutico and other legacy media consider themselves to be journalists instead of more properly identifying as propagandists.
