Uh, high taxes go along with high growth and income. You can’t make a hundred billion in one year on paper and not expect to pay a pot load of taxes. His options alone are tens of millions.

just doesn't sit well for an average guy like me to have to give money to the richest guy on the planet to do what he probably was going to do anyway.

But you don't. Musk's $12 Billion in taxes this year alone more than covers ( more than double) any subsidies Tesla or any of his companies may have received.
And that is his taxes for this year alone.

You've gotta actually sell the shares before you make money. The Dems were trying to pass a bill which will tax you just because your stocks went up, even though you've not sold the stocks.

I think they want at least 70% of everyone’s income.

I recently got into an online spat with a guy from Belgium who was bragging that their health care system is better than ours because it's free.

Turns out it's not exactly free because his income was taxed at 50%, they had a national sales tax of 20% and a local tax of 9%.

He didn't care, his health care was free......LOL!
