House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Monday endorsed former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Tom Perez in his bid for Maryland governor, calling him the candidate with “the best opportunity to flip the state” blue in 2022.
“Maryland has an opportunity to flip from red to blue and the most qualified person to do just that is my friend Tom Perez,” Pelosi said in a video announcing the endorsement. “Please join me in supporting him as our next governor of Maryland.”
In the video, Pelosi touted Perez’s work on voting and civil rights issues during his time leading the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, as well as his service as Labor Secretary during the Obama administration.

I live in such a part. Our county voted something like 67% for Trump.
However, our state is dominated by Baltimore, DC and the suburbs - Prince Georges, Monkey Counties.
It’s so nice to not have any representation. /s
Maryland is even bluer than New York, as I discovered to my dismay after I moved here.
MD is indeed dominated by Balto and DC. The main reason it is lib.
Unfortunately I see MORE dominance by DC as the limo libs spread their poison further out. Now Charles and Frederick Cos are in big danger. Often now “blue” when they hadn’t been in the past.
RINO before Perez, although it might be amusing and bemusing to watch the Defund the Police / Sanctuary State / everybody riot crowd in the state legislature rough up the a-hole Perez.

Flip MD from red to blue? Where have you ignoramuses been for the past 40 years? While the current governor may have an R after his name, he is no republican. Perhaps in the mold of Mitt Romney. And MD is deep blue if you’re paying any attention. Just look at the recent gerrymandered congressional district map. Vetoed by the “R” governor, over-ridden by the dem legislature.

I just moved to Florida, and it’s basically more freedom with a side of smothering humidity and an occasional hurricane. Maybe Texas weather would be better overall for yas, but there would still be hurricanes if you landed near Houston, Corpus Christi, etc.
I would personally recommend Florida, but YMMV.
It’s the smothering humidity and heat.
I thought of moving to Texas, but I realized that the options for water could be limited in SHTF. Here, if the worst happens, all I need is a good water filter and a shovel.
