Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said Thursday that those in the military who decline the COVID vaccination “will be given an opportunity to talk to both medical providers as well as their own chain of command so that they can fully understand the decision that they are making,” but he stopped short of saying that they won’t be given a dishonorable discharge.
“I had a COVID question. The House is considering some legislation right now that would prohibit dishonorable discharge for any troop who declines a COVID vaccine. I'm not going to ask you to comment on the legislation, but I want to ask you about the punishment. Is dishonorable discharge going to be the outcome for troops who have refused the vaccine?” Travis Tritten from Military.com asked.

Other then honorable is worst they’d get without courts martial.

More likely a Medical Discharge.
So far it’s a lawful order. Burden of the service member to prove it’s not (flips the burden of proof because all orders are presumed lawful under UCMJ Article 92, so that would be an affirmative defense). That said, unless some commander really wants to make a point, he/she is not going to push for a general court martial and dishonorable discharge for refusing the shot. Even if convicted and given a DD, likely would not be upheld on appeal minus significant aggravating factors.

Anthony Fauci is the SOB that deserves a Dishonorable Discharge. Then he can be charged with perjury followed up with High Treason (transfer of bioweapon research to Chinese Communist Party, Felony Violations of Bioweapon Treaty and last but far from least: Crimes Against Humanity (multiple counts).

My friends kid is in the military. He said that they are telling the troops it will affect you moving up in rank.
I will say this. Back in the 80s the Big Green Machine gave me 8 vaxxes in one day, including a couple I was pretty sure were ineffective. It hurt like hell. It was two days before I could raise my arms over my head.
Just sayin.
