A woman who defected from North Korea and came to the US says she was mugged by three black women outside a Saks Fifth Avenue store in Chicago last year but was prevented from calling the police by white bystanders because doing so was ‘racist.’
Yeonmi Park, the Columbia University student who along with her mother was sold into slavery by human traffickers after fleeing North Korea when she was just 13, alleges the incident took place during last summer’s looting in the Windy City.
Park alleged that police and prosecutors declined to charge the thief, but public records indicate that 29-year-old Lecretia Harris was sentenced to two years in prison after her arrest in connection with the incident.
One of Harris’ accomplices managed to evade arrest.
At around the time of the incident, the city was in the midst of widespread unrest as vandals smashed windows of dozens of businesses and made off with merchandise, cash machines and anything else they could carry.
Park said that bystanders encouraged Harris to run and were hostile to her when she tried to call the police. Some who witnessed the crime branded her a racist for trying to dial 911, according to Park.
By speaking out about the incident, Park said that she has 'become the enemy of the woke.'

I have several customers/colleagues who are Asian women from China, Hong Kong.
When traveling in the USA, the Hong Kong ones are a bit more savvy and street-smart, while the mainland Chinese ones are still unfamiliar with US society, and still have “stars in their eyes” about places like NY or LA.
Every time they have travelled to New York City, they get harassed, always by blacks, mostly by women. Mostly its just rudeness/language, twice it was demands for money (one a homeless ranting, other time was a robbery)
I find myself trying to deny to them what they have experienced, blame it on homelessness or drugs, or give them American platitudes on diversity, mostly to save my own face and serve my own cognitive dissonance.
“Many foreigners who move to the US have no clue just how awful US big cities are—and who roams the streets there.”
Same as small town girls who go to college in the big city next to the ghetto and find out the hard way their apartment is no longer in Mayberry USA
This woman has a youtube channel with all sorts of topics / first-hand accounts of what life is really like in NK. Just search on her name and you will find her channel. Ranges from bizarre stuff to outright horrible human rights abuses.
She needs to move to a small rural town where there are still a few Americans living...
“She said she was mugged in her hometown of Chicago in August of last year”
Mistake number 1: Making Chicago her hometown.
She escapes from North Korea only to settle in Chicago?
Funny thing is in NK these perps would have been sent to a work camp or worse put in from of a 20mm AA gun and blown away, and as bad as NK is they do not have a Chicago there.
Ah Chicago. Another city I look forward to not visiting.
“Many foreigners who move to the US have no clue just how awful US big cities are—and who roams the streets there.
They just have to learn the lesson the hard way—and then they are equally stunned to find out how amazing the rural countryside is..”
Not just foreigners, but many Americans are just as clueless, as the media simply WILL NOT report the massive hatred and violence now permitted in our cities, since that might be interpreted as anti-black.
So people, uninformed people, go into those traps, many more dangerous than Third World countries and learn the hard way that our cities are not what is being portrayed.
I doubt that I live long enough to see our cities relatively safe again...and I was shocked that NYC actually became safe under Rudy and then Bloomberg...but they’ve since given that up. Guilt, I guess, simply not enough violence for the Left.
I visited NYC during the “good years”—and felt quite safe—but there were cops everywhere on the street as far as the eye could see in all tourist areas.
Keeping cities civilized is very hard work—requires total vigilance and determination on the part of political leadership.
And blacks are still delusioned that “THEY be o pressed” an’ sheeeeeiiiiit.
