As the Biden Border Crisis continues with no end in sight, Senate Democrats are working around the clock to inject amnesty into a massive spending bill they are selling as an “infrastructure package.”
The bill is slated is to be advanced through the little-known budget reconciliation process, which allows the party in power to pass legislation related to the budget with only a simple majority, bypassing the traditional 60 vote threshold. However, the budget reconciliation process has complex requirements, and it is not certain that the Senate parliamentarian would agree to including amnesty.
The amnesty push accelerated when Senate Budget Committee Chairman Bernie Sanders (I-VT), released a draft of a $6 trillion reconciliation budget blueprint, which includes $126 billion to put approximately 5 million illegal aliens on a pathway to citizenship. While this proposal is only the start of the budget reconciliation process, the addition of immigration components is a dangerous first step toward amnesty for millions with nothing in return.
How could they possibly do this through the budget reconciliation process? Their selling point is that while putting approximately 5 million illegal aliens on a pathway to citizenship is costly, it nonetheless results in big economic benefits for all Americans down the line. This tired talking point has been used by the pro-amnesty lobby for decades.
Here are the facts:
* Amnesty for millions of illegal aliens is not strictly a budgetary concern. Rather, amnesty would have negative, substantive impacts on an entire range of policy interests including criminal justice, law and order, social cohesion, environmental stewardship, public education, labor fairness, and infrastructure burdens. This makes it ineligible for inclusion in a budget reconciliation bill.
* This shady move by Senate Democrats would set a terrible precedent and an opportunity for the party in power to circumvent the traditional legislative process to enact unpopular special interest priorities unrelated to spending or revenue.
* Critical policy issues – like immigration – deserve a full debate on the floor of both chambers and require sufficient time for the American public to have their voices heard.
This attempt to blow up long-standing Senate rules in order to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens would not only exacerbate an already raging crisis, but deeply harm our nation for decades. It must be stopped.
Of course they are.

If they are successful, the country is done. Will the patriots rise up and hunt down these politicians, if (when) it happens? Nah, they have better things to do. /s

Democrats must know that if they past amnesty that patriots will respond. Illegals need to be sent a strong message that makes it clear they are nevet welcome here.
Not only would it give them a lock on the White House for a generation or more, but it would displace probably two-dozen GOP House seats and two or more Senate seats.
Reagan signed an Amnesty in 1986. Prior to that, California had only voted for a Democrat in one of the previous 11 elections. The first year those illegals who were granted amnesty would have been eligible to vote as US citizens was 1992 was also - not coincidentally - the year the state voted for a Democrat for only the second time in 12 election and has never voted Republican again.
If you like where CA is today, you’re gonna love TX in another decade...or less, should they enact amnesty.
The Deplorables want a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill, missing since 1986 ONE TIME amnesty. Since that amnesty was granted already, a second amnesty is off the table. What remains is the enforcement the Democrats have disallowed since then.
The List of Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, missing since 1986 goes like this -
1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund.
Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls.
I remember hearing something recently about the Senate parliamentarian, who is a woman who I had never heard of. But she had indicated that “reconciliation” can only be used in certain specific circumstances. And apparently she has some veto power over bills presented to the Senate, to rule on whether the legislation qualifies for the reconciliation process.
I know some are thinking, and I am thinking too, that she is liable to be accosted by the likes of Schumer and others, to press her to rule the right way on the parliamentary procedure for the legislation. And perhaps they will try to bribe her in some way to rule the “right” way.
Well ....
If this passes, vouchering the schools can also be passed via reconciliation. Teaching black children to read and do math at grade level will save the country trillions of dollars down the road. And even in the short run, given that failing public schools are typically much more expensive than higher performing private and parochial schools in the same neighborhoods, breaking up the dysfunctional public school stranglehold is a money saver.
And Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott can’t wait to vote for it.
It never ceases to amaze me that highly important issues affecting the viability of the country are often decided by individuals, who are often unelected.
Bottom line is RINOs must be stopped from collaborating with liberals.
With a lot of help from their Assistant Democrats, Cornyn, Grahamnesty, Tillis, Hoeven, Rubio, and other TransRepublicans wearing R jerseys.
All the people who keep using the work “crisis” need to stop. There is NO crisis. It is AS DESIRED by Biden and the democrats. They want this nation flooded. They know the demographics coming across the border. They know the “people of color” far out breed Americans and will always vote for the democrats.
