The article says she received “multiple death threats” implying she was a target by someone or some group. Later in the article it says she was shot at a house party and there's no reason to believe she was targeted.

Shot at a house party. I wonder who the other guests were. Do they know who shot her? How can they say she wasn’t a target if she had been threatened and then was shot. They said no reason to suspect she was a target but that sure looked like a reason to me.

My first question is how did a white American policeman manage to shoot her if she was in London?
