The most harrowing story I’ve read in The Times in recent days was Miriam Jordan’s account of a car crash last month in Southern California involving a Ford Expedition that had come from Mexico, straight through a breach in the border wall. The Ford was crammed with 25 people when it hit a tractor-trailer rig on Route 115, 110 miles east of San Diego.
“Few of the survivors have been able to describe what happened next,” Jordan writes. “The crunch of metal and glass, the bodies flung dozens of feet across the pavement. Twelve people died on the spot, a 13th at a nearby hospital.”
Jordan follows the stories of the victims and survivors, and there’s a heartbreaking sameness to them: people who have been driven by fear or want from their homes in Mexico and Central America, and who are willing to take grave risks and pay exorbitant sums to make it to the United States. These are not terrorists, gang members, lowlifes, benefit seekers or — except in their willingness to violate U.S. immigration laws — lawbreakers. They are seekers of the American dream, worthy of our compassion and respect.
Yet those 13 people — along with others who have recently lost their lives in dangerous crossings — might not have met their grisly fate if the Biden administration’s concept of compassion wasn’t also an inducement to recklessness.
And they would not have been killed if a wall had been standing in their way.

You had a president who was going to build one, albeit a half-assed one. And you did everything your weak ass could possibly do to stop him!

This is a “prevent defense”. Build The Wall, take away one of the many possible talking point the Republican candidate(s) may raise in 2022 or 2024. Previous objections to the construction of The Wall shall be forgotten, as that is inconvenient to the whole narrative and must be bottled up with all deliberate speed.
So, Biden invites illegals to invade the US and now, at the same time, he wants to “fill in the gaps” in the wall. The gap he needs to fill is the forked tongue one between his mouth and his actions on this issue. The Dems are being beat mercilessly on this unfettered illegal issue in which their own party registrants always poll in the majority against illegal immigration. Although he would like them all up here for the votes, Biden is feeling the political heat

Without the WILL to enforce the law, the wall is useless.

Mexico and Central America know that good fences helps to keep U.S. Americans out.
And that porous borders helps with their chaffing efforts.
Stephens is the Slimes’ current resident conservative dancing bear. They let him prance around a bit, pretending to be the “opposing view,” while keeping him on a short leash. Ultimately he has to toe the line, not ever questioning prevailing leftist memes. He treads warily on unsteady ground, knowing his cushy position can be revoked at will for going too far in the direction of truth.

But seriously, this is the best indicator yet that there will be some wall construction resumed, if only to provide political cover for the disaster they have created (and that is probably the only reason they would).
Ask HER government how much land an AMERICAN can own in Mexico.
