And once again, Republicans fail to come through. It is a definite pattern.

A Censure does not really change anything professionally for the recipient, does it? Just a “Sternly worded note has now placed in your career files!” The deeds have already been done and cannot be undone. Didn’t CheneyDottir-Liz get such a Censure as well? You can see how concerned she is about it
—NOT!

“The Republican Party needs unity, not a purge,” Joseph DiSarro, a political science professor at Washington & Jefferson College in southwestern Pennsylvania

Yes, it does need a purge of RINOs from leadership. The party is going nowhere with those dickweeds in charge.

Committee members were given the choice of voting for a statement proposed by Chairman Lawrence Tabas that “strongly rebukes but does not censure” Toomey, and a second statement that does censure him.

The censure movement was blocked by a narrow 128-124 margin, with 13 abstentions, according to a source who had been briefed on the results.

So they voted to "rebuke" but not to"censure"?

Is there really a difference? Aren't they both just verbal criticisms?

Pennsylvania conservatives should sit on their hands next election - or vote for the Democrat.

Well our county here in Western PA. has indeed ‘censored’ Toomey regardless of the state's position.....We've been fighting Gov.Wolf all along as well as in the state Supreme Court.

Thirteen cowards.

Basically 13 cowards afraid to offend anyone.

Oh my, there are good arguments on both sides. I just don’t know. I’ll just have to sit this one out.

Just like Obama back in the Illinois Senate. They can’t be bothered to know what the issues are and they can’t take a side.

Good luck in the 2020 elections Pennsylvania. If you are not interested in identifying and purging RINO’s, you are NOT true Republicans and there’s little reason to vote for your RINOs.

Toomey deserved to be Censured, at the very least. He did not want to be censured, which is why he spoke to this group a few days ago. Toomey has tried to justify his vote, but I doubt that he ever liked Trump.

Toomey did not go to any Trump rallies here. Right after Trump was elected, we went to a huge Trump rally in Hershey. Plenty of dignitaries were there, but Toomey was not there. He didn’t go to the county Lincoln Day Breakfast or the dinner for Mike Pence at Hotel Bethlehem.

There is a huge Tea Party in Allentown, which is the largest in the country, and he doesn’t show up there either.

This Tea Party meets the first Thursday of every month in Allentown.

I view this whole censuring/rebuking thing as a diversionary tactic. The state GOP is filled with many feckless RINOs. They are all for discussing such things a censure because it allows them to avoid real issues. Fact: Alren Toomey is not running for office again. Fact: No words are going to stop Toomey from doing what he wants. Fact: Election laws need to be changed in PA to eliminate fraud. Fact: The state GOP rather deal with censuring which allows them to not deal with election laws.

Every moment spent on solving non-problems is a moment not spent solving real problems. That is the state GOP.

The solution is simple. Replace every precinct committeeman in PA with a Trump supporter. (Do this in every state.) It is actually easy to do. A lot of committeeman positions are not even filled and when there is a election, they run unopposed. To win a precinct all you often need to do is line up a few of your neighbors to vote for you. The effort involved is pretty simple. You need to get signatures to be on the ballot. You go door to door in your neighborhood and get the signatures. At the same time you get your vote. Then keep contact with your neighbors. Before election day, make another round of door to door and remind your neighbors to vote for you.
