Two women were arrested for hosting more than 200 people at an illegal “makeshift bar” in New Jersey over the weekend, Newark authorities said.
The state’s department of public safety said police officers responded to calls at 6 Libella Court in Newark at approximately 12 a.m. on Sunday. Hundreds of patrons were seen drinking, eating, and illegally gambling at the warehouse party, according to police.

How can you arrest someone for violating these unconstitutional orders?

This is in Ironbound/Downneck, always crowded with immigrants of various stripes since before my paternal great grandparents moved there right before WWI. Nice to see the Brazilians/Portuguese/Ecuadorians ain’t letting Mayor Baraka push them around.

When my daddy was growing up in this same neighborhood there was a bar on every block, along with illegal casinos and houses of ill repute if you knew where to look for them. Less bars these days, more restaurants, but plenty of ethnics who don’t want the neopuritans pushing them around.
Trust me, some of Newark’s finest had a few and chatted up some of the ladies before they made the arrests. ;)

Whats wrong with following the rules and hosting a party for 40 families of 5....or 100 families of 2 if they social distance and wear a mask...l
let the cops check IDs and film violations...Hell... the 2 Lady’s that hosted this charitable event might even be called to testify against the ones that couldn’t follow the “rules”
They keep pushing and they are going to get there.
And it will not be coming from the direction they think it will.
