Democrats are trying to do what they always try to do during election season. They’re painting a rosy picture of their policies and how they affect African-Americans. After the election, they’ll go back to ignoring African-American communities and needs until the following election season. Rinse. Repeat.
But one African-American pastor isn’t listening to them anymore. Pastor Aaron Lewis is done with the Democratic Party, especially the current presidential ticket. He had some particularly harsh words for vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris, whose history of incarcerating African-Americans for questionable “crimes” helped derail her presidential nomination run. Democrats are hoping nobody remembers her history, but Pastor Lewis does, as he expressed at AMPFest2020.

I just heard a Biden radio ad. I hate to say it, but it was well done. He promised a lot and I’m sure it sounded good to those who hear it. Trump is emphasizing his accomplishment during his first term which are considerable. Does he need to also say what he’d do in his second?

There’s tons of ads out there on both sides. I’m sure there are Trump ads that tell what he’s going to do in the second term.

The radio ads say he’s going to singlehandedly save rural America from everything from children grwong up and moving away, to job loss, to distant medical care, to foreign competition, to lack of world class universities to...
It varies based on where you live. They’re going to spend the money where it’s going to do the most good. If the polls where you live show either the state is solidly in the Republican camp OR that there’s no way that it would ever go Republican, you’re not going to see money wasted on ads through local media.
A ‘battleground’ state will see a TON of ads from both sides.
The goal is to get enough electoral college votes, not popular votes. If a state is going to go red, then it doesn’t matter if you got 50,000 extra votes from that state or 100,000 extra votes. You don’t get any more electoral college votes by winning a state with a bigger margin.

A fact missed by most on here. Thanks for the common sense post. They don't understand that there's not an unlimited amount of money for ad blitzes in every market. It needs to be spent where it's going to do the most good.
Pastor Lewis should be careful, that's the way Harris got to the top.
