Senate Report Concludes Russia Used Paul Manafort, WikiLeaks To Boost Trump In 2016

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Russia used Republican political operative Paul Manafort, the WikiLeaks website and others to try to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election to help now-U.S. President Donald Trump’s campaign, a Senate intelligence panel report said on Tuesday.

WikiLeaks played a key role in Russia’s effort to assist Republican Trump against Democrat Hillary Clinton and likely knew it was helping Russian intelligence, said the report, which is likely to be the most definitive public account of the 2016 election controversy.

The report found President Vladimir Putin personally directed the Russian efforts to hack computer networks and accounts affiliated with the Democratic Party and leak information damaging to Clinton.

The panel, formally called the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, also alleged Manafort collaborated with Russians, including oligarch Oleg Deripaska and an alleged Russian intelligence operative, Konstantin Kilimnik, before during and after the election.

The panel found Manafort’s role and proximity to Trump created opportunities for Russian intelligence, saying his “high-level access and willingness to share information with individuals closely affiliated with the Russian intelligence services... represented a grave counterintelligence threat.”

It was not clear what effect, if any, the report might have on the current U.S. presidential campaign in which Trump faces Democrat Joe Biden in the Nov. 3 U.S. election.

Opinion polls show former vice president Biden has built an expansive lead in nearly every battleground state that Trump won narrowly in 2016, as the Republican’s approval numbers tumble amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Well lets not forget that the released emails, showed that Hillary lied to the American people and numerous government agencies and courts. She broke government rules and laws. She ran a pay to play state department. She also got the questions before the debates. If it was Putin, all he did was make Hillary transparent to the American people. The press tried to explain away Hillary’s crimes even after they were displayed for all to see. Putin should get a Pulitzer. Hillary should get the book thrown at her. And how exactly did the Russians get Comey to go in front of the press to list all her crimes and then wave them away as unimportant?

Horse-do-do.

The best defense is a “good” offense. And when you don’t have a good offense...you make up things and LIE.

How stupid they must think we are.

“I smell Romney.”

Smell Richard Burr, GOP NC. He insisted on “bipartisanship” which meant Dem Senator Mark Warner ran the committee. Burr’s insider stock trading was exposed early this year and he went silent, stepping down from the committee chair. McConnell named Marco Rubio to replace Burr. No doubt Rubio is continue to let Mark Warner cover for the Democrats, set the agenda, and write the reports.

You mean Wikileaks revealed what a crook Hillary was? Why does it matter if the Russians were the source of the information. So silly.

The author of this piece was deported from Britain in 1977 for helping ex-CIA-agent-turned-Soviet-spy Philip Agee conduct espionage operations against the UK. He has since taken up with the far-left wing of the U.S. intelligence community, including helping disseminate the Russiagate hoax.

He has been a close collaborator of Michael Isikoff in that respect—very close to the Fusion GPS propaganda network.

Hosenball was deported from England, along with CIA turncoat/traitor/admitted DGI-KGB asset, Phillip Agee, on “national security grounds” (i.e. they were exposing real and imaged British intel ops and agents to the Soviets and Cubans.

Hosenball has floated around the magazine world including working with Michael Isikoff (Russiagate, among other things) at Newsweek, possibly the Marxist “The Nation”, Time and Yahoo, amongst other leftist, anti-US intelligence publications.

Nothing he writes is for the good of the Free World, period. Take anything he writes with a gain of poisoned salt.
