NEW YORK Hundreds of workers rallied Monday outside the Trump International Hotel in Manhattan and the Massachusetts Statehouse to protest systemic racism and economic inequality an effort that organizers hoped would grow into a nationwide strike in which tens of thousands of people walked off the job....
About 1,500 janitors in San Francisco walked off their jobs and planned to lead a march to City Hall later in the day, according to Fight for $15, a labor group that supports raising the U.S. minimum wage to $15 an hour. McDonalds cooks and cashiers in Los Angeles and nursing home workers in St. Paul were also striking, the group said....

What should have been done in the first so called Kung Flu Stimulus Package was matching dollar for dollar the amount of Unemployment paid out by the States rather than just paying an extra $600 a week to everyone regardless of their Pre Kung Flu Income.
Since Unemployment is paid out based on the Person’s Employment income, the people who were earning less to begin with get less and the people who were earning more would get more.
This approach would have cost a lot less money and prevented the idea that it’s better to not work and get paid versus working for a Living.
They should have also stipulated that anyone refusing to go back to their Jobs when their Employers opened back up would lose ALL their Unemployment Benefits.
The Rats might run on a new slogan, “Make Unemployment Profitable Again”. #MUPA
systemic or concocted?
Yep got one right next to me. 180 bucks a week on a part time job. Getting that and another 600 on unemployment. Yeah, they’ll go back to work when the boss calls them. LOL
Highest percent? I would have thought that California had the worst unemployment with so much outsourced labor and so many people.
How is returning back to the racist company that hired your racist ass in the first place going to be fixed by your lazy racist ass not working? I say walk off and you get docked. “No work, no pay!” Signed “The Man!”
A friend of mine lost her $30k/year job. I offered a job at $40k. She is not interested because she is making $50k a year unemployment.
Not for much longer, hopefully.
The $50k/y is now The New Guaranteed Wage. See how they did that?
BTW, with any luck the “America Is Officially Closed” sign will be delayed until January 2025. After that, all bets are off. The inmates will be fully in charge of the asylum.
I think the NBA needs to strike for Racial Inequality. We need more white, Asian and Hispanic players in the League.

“What ‘systemic racism’?”
It’s a term of art intended to discourage anyone from delving into the poor choices individuals made which have limited their success. By this they say success was impossible, no matter what someone did so you can’t blame criminal behavior, drug use, aggressive attitudes, dropping out of school, etc. etc.
If Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Calypso Louie would shut up there would be less racism. They thrive on perpetuating it.
Obviously these are union janitors working for large private employers. People I know in the janitorial services business have been doing fairly well especially selling cleaning services and sanitizer supplies.
In order to “strike”, you actually have to have a job.
Always good to walk off the job to protest for a cause that doesn’t even exist.
This park is known as a place where homeless spend their days. We are trying to remove the homeless but the city is not helping. It is known as a drug Haven!
Fire the lot of them.If black lives mattered to these fools they would be putting a stop to the wholesale slaughter of alive black babies in the womb. This bullsh!t has gone too far already. Fire these fools for the lousy employees they are showing themselves to be. Too stupid to be
It’s meaningless leftist drivel like social justice and undocumented immigrant.
